March 2023 Silver Monthly Challenge Companion Tournament - No Reinforcement

Hello,

This is a blind companion tournament for the 2023 March Monthly Challenge.This tournament will be played on the map and settings needed to receive silver challenge tokens.

For March 2023, the bronze and silver tokens will be given for playing games and gold tokens for winning. A minimum of 15 bronze and 15 silver tokens will be required in order to achieve the challenge goal.

This challenge will be win percentage based!


We are looking for 16 players to play 15 games over the month of March. Three games will be sent once per week.

Players with priority get in first regardless of when they post to join. You receive priority by signing up for the previous month's challenge BEFORE the sign-up deadline and not getting in.

Players Per Game: 2
Game Type: Poly 2
Initial Troops: Automatic
Play Order: Sequential
Spoils: Flat Rate
Reinforcements: No Reinforcement
FOG: No
TRENCH: Yes
Round Limit: 20
Round Length: 24 Hours

Rules
Each player will play each other player once. Whomever has the best record over 15 games, wins. In the event of a tie, tiebreaker game(s) on the same map and settings will be sent until players are no longer tied. For example, if two players tie, one game will be made and the winner will also win the tournament. If three players tie, three games will be made (A vs B; B vs C; A vs C) and the winner of two games will win the tournament. If four players tie, six games will be made (A vs B; A vs C; A vs D; B vs C; B vs D; C vs D) and hopefully just one player wins all three of their games and we can end this craziness!

Tie-breaker games will likely not be started in March and therefore will likely not count towards the March Challenge scoreboard.

If you quit the tournament you are not eligible to get a medal for the March Monthly Challenge or Challenge Dome points for March!

Signups end at 23:59 CCT on Feb 27th!

Multiple iterations of the tournament will be run if filled. Keep signing up until the deadline!

We could not get required number of players on time.
Only 15 players signed up and we are one short for required 16
So this tourney is abandoned

Which means players sign up without knowing what is the actual map they are playing on with given settings.
By the time you replied on this thread the map info is out there & so unfortunately we cannot accept players and get going this tournament after map info became public

The simplest, it seems, is to let luxbock play and just subtract his tokens.

Not easy to do so. Then we have to ask BW to add codes to scoreboard to exclude dropping tokens to luxbock only from this tournamant games.

But if all players registered here agreed (or if some disagree but if we can find additional players for their slots)
then we can have a companion tournament as a non-blind one.

What if I want to run a parallel tournament to the challenge?
Okay, awesome! Individual tournaments can be added to the challenges so that those games drop tokens. Send us a PM and we will get it added for the month. Remember that games that do not complete by the allotted time, will not drop tokens!
