No matter how challenging life was for Josh, He was always searching for positives and building friends up and encouraging others.
His frends agreed on things which Josh would pass on to the wider CC community:
4 years ago I met Josh. Josh and I had a lot in common, both of us had struggled to feel like we found a group in life we could walk with. CK had more reason to feel that way than I due to his condition. But goodness gracious he was always searching for positives and building me up and encouraging me. 2 years ago he and I began weekly/bi-weekly phone calls as accountability partners and talked, cried and prayed together. 2 days ago, he told me he was ready for the suffering to end and to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 24 hours ago, I lost one of the most recently influential people I have ever known in my life. You don't have to do crazy things to be influential. You don't have to have a world stage to make big changes. You don't have to be perfect to be good. You don't have to be good, to help others. You don't have to lack suffering, to hobble along with others. You don't have to pretend everything is fine, to still experience joy. Sometimes life is weird. I've never gotten to shake his hand or hug him. I've never gotten to meet him face-to-face on camera. Don't doubt the influence each moment you spend can have. Look for joy, cry with those around you, remember its okay to not fit in, be normal or process things like everyone else. Goodbye, Josh - I'll never forget you, or who you helped me be..-Swimmerdude99
CaronylKluster - a better friend could not be found, someone who was an inspiration to those who knew him. One who was active in leadership and shared pieces of himself with no expectation of something in return. -IcePack
My life will be missing something for a long time to come. RIP buddy, we miss you already. -Swimmerdude99
I will never forget you Josh, you touched everyones hearts. -Keefie
My favorite team mate on CC since 2014 You will be missed ... You will never be forgotten ... Thank you for being You ! -The_Samurai
You don't have to meet people in person to see how bright they shine. -pconnolly365
Josh, you were a great example to me and everyone of kindness and inner strength. Your focus was never on yourself. -Denise
He had no fear of death, a complete faith in God, and gratitude that he got to live the life he lived (wife, 2 kids). -Ltrain
Please provide Home map choice in your sign in please!
Each Round each player will play 3 Games against the same opponent.
1 Game on his/her Home Map.
1 Game on opponent’s Home Map.
1 Game on a Random Map.
The whole tournament game settings to be as follow:
20 Round limit
1v1 game type
Escalating
Chained
Fog
No Trench
12hrs Fog rules to be use, please be gentleman and allow this period for your opponent to take a snap. TO will not enforce but encourage the sportsmanship and this rule to be follow.
Your goal is to accumulate points throughout your best-of-3 rounds, unless you lose by 0-3, then you will be eliminated from this stage.
From the start of the tournament, and until we reach down to 64 players, the same round setup to apply.
In the event we have odd number of players between rounds, the Top rank will receive a bye, if more than one Top Rank, then the “bye” ticket to be issue randomly using random.org draft.
Player to be pair up randomly using random.org draft system.
Once the tournament reach the number 64 of remaining player, the round will use the bracket style.
If there is less than 64 by the end of a round then all losers from that round to be part of a draw and a “lucky loser” ticket to be given to access the bracket style stage. Draw to use random.org.
Here again, player to be randomly pair up using random.org.
Best-of-3 throughout the bracket phase, this to allow Freemium to play.
Win your set of 3 games and you move on (by 2-1 or 3-0), that’s it.
Scoring: (applies to the initial phase and until the bracket phase is reached)
Win 3-0 for 3 pts
Win 2-1 for 2 pts
Lose 1-2 for 1 pt but you won’t be eliminated from this stage
Lose 0-3 and you are directly eliminated
Thanks again to all who decided to play RISK in Josh’s memory and in this event.
Hi Josh, hope you will enjoy your new peaceful place and be proud of our fights in this event specially made for your remembrance. Your kindness will be missed for ever my friend.
RIP CK
I’m in using the same home map from Super League: Austrum
