Congratulations to Kambodia for winning the tournament!
The first Baltic Showdown was a lot of fun to play in and to run, so I'd like to do it again. Seeking 18 players for a standard game tournament.
Update: Score requirement has been removed. Tourney now open to all, regardless of rank. Just have to be premium.
In the first round, the 18 players will be split into 3 groups of 6 players, and will play 3 games against each other, simultaneously. The top 4 scorers from these games from each group will progress on to the next round.
In the second round, the 12 remaining players will be split into 2 more groups of 6 players, and will play 3 games against each other, simultaneously. The top 3 scorers from these games from each group will progress on to the final round.
The final round will have the remaining 6 players playing 4 games against each other, simultaneously. The top scorer of these games wins the tournament.
All player grouping will be done using random.org.
All games will be 6-player standards on Baltic Crusades, no spoils, chained, foggy, trench 30 round limit.
Scoring will go as follows: 6 points for winning the game 5 points for being the last eliminated 4 points for being the fourth person eliminated 3 points for being the third person eliminated 2 points for being the second person eliminated 1 point for being the first person eliminated
In the event that the Round limit determines the victor of the match, then points will be distributed based on troop count. So, the person with the highest troop count won the game and gets 6 points, the person with the second highest troop count gets 5 points, etc. If any player was eliminated prior to the round limit taking place, they will be scored based on when they were eliminated, and the remaining players will be scored based on troop count.
No freemiums, must have at least 97% turns taken, and must not have deadbeated/acted poorly in a prior tournament of mine.
In the event of a tie, the players (how ever many there are) will play a sudden death match on Baltic, no spoils, chained, foggy, trench, 30 round limit, with the winner of that match taking all.
Each player will have 2 invites sent, after which point they will be removed from the tournament, and a replacement will be found. A replacement will only be allowed in the first round. In the second round, we will just switch to a 5 player game, or however many players we have.
