8Hey there beautiful CC community! I've dug from the grave a kind of tournament I haven't used in a long while: my Conquer Club GP!
The two previous versions were played in 2013 and 2014. The champions were osman76 and stealth99, respectively.
Players can join this tournament during a whole month (5/January up to 5/February). There is no limit on the quantity of players. So keep 'em coming. Freemiums allowed, BUT they have to keep at least an open slot at all times (preferably two, but one at the very least).
Everybody will have to choose their own "home" map and "home" rules. In every round everybody will play a "home" game, an "away" game and, if a tiebreaker is needed, an extra game will be played in a random map, with basic rules (standard, seq, esc, chained,NO fog, NO trench,20rounds,24h).
In the home rules you CAN choose between standard and polymorphic (but not the other options), play order, spoils, reinforcements, special gameplay. You CANNOT choose Initial troops (auto for all), Round limit (20rounds) nor lenght (24h).
Example
"I'm in with the home map Doodle Earth. My home rules are Standard, seq, zombie, none, NO fog and Trench."
This tournament will be a 1v1 best-of-3 elimination tournament. You lose, you're out.
This tournament's number of players will very likely not be 16, 32, 64, 128, etc., so there will be eventually one or more rounds with an odd number of participants. In that case one of those games will be composed of the three remaining players.
Example
Quarter Finals:
Game A - Player1 Vs Player2
Game B - Player3 Vs Player4
Game C - Player5 Vs Player6
Game D - Player7 Vs Player8 Vs Player9
In the very likely event this will occur, there will be almost no change in the rules. Using this example: There will be at least two 3-player games. One in Player7's home and another in Player8's home. If some player achieves two wins in those two games there will be no need for the 3rd leg, in Player9's home to be played. If not, the game is played. If, after the 3 legs end the score is tied, an extra game will be played. Random map, basic rules.
Special semi-final case
There is a possibility that eventually there will be exactly 6 players left in the tournament. In that case, instead of having a semi-final with three 1v1 games and a 3-player final I find it preferable to have two 3-player games in the semi-final and a 1v1 in the final.
So... that's basically it. If you have any questions, post it here or send them via PM. Enjoy!!!
