Original thread: https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... 98&start=0Welcome to Touchdown! This tournament is open to freemiums as well as premiums as only 1 game will be played at a time. Freemiums must keep one slot open at all times. 97%+ attendance only please.
This is a 1v1 tournament where you win a match by having the most points after 4 quarters. Each scoring play will end the quarter.
If a player leads by more than 7 points after 3 quarters, it will be impossible for his opponent to force overtime or to win in regulation and the player will win by mercy rule.
Please choose your map when you sign up; the only maps which are not allowed are Random and Hive. It is advisable to choose a map where you can win quickly!
It will be a 16-player bracket so to win the tournament you need to win 4 matches (score 12 touchdowns).

Edits in

This is loosely based on the rules of American Football.
On your home map, you have 4 attempts to make a gain of 10 yards (1 game at a time). The quicker you win, the more yards you gain. If you lose on your map, your opponent pushes you back, or if you lose quickly, the play is intercepted and control switches to your opponent. Play then continues from where on the field you reached.
If a game reaches Round 13, the play is incomplete and there is no gain either way.
If you do not make a gain of 10 yards within 4 attempts (plays), your opponent takes control.
If you succeed in making a gain of 10 yards, you continue with another 4 attempts from where you reached.
You start at the 50-yard line (midfield line); if you reach the endzone
in 25 1v1 games, you have scored a touchdown
(7 points) and the quarter is over.
If neither player has reached the endzone by the end of the 25th 1v1 game, a 3-point field goal will be awarded to the player who is closest to scoring a touchdown.
If, after the 25th 1v1 game, the ball is at midfield, the player who won the most 1v1 games in that quarter will be awarded the field goal.
The player with the most points after 4 quarters will move on to the next round.First Round:Player A will start with the ball in Quarters 1 and 3, and Player B will start in Quarters 2 and 4.
If two players are tied after 4 quarters, a 5th quarter (overtime) will be played. A 1v1 game on Random map will determine who starts with the ball in overtime.
Second Round through Finals:
A 1v1 game on Random map will determine who starts with the ball in the first quarter and in overtime (if necessary). If a player scores either a TD or a FG in the first, second, or third quarter, that player's opponent will start with the ball in the next quarter.
Quarters will be limited to 15 games.ScoringIf you win on your home map in:
