I don't really like the way you set up these games for first round... You put highest ranked player against lowest ranked player, giving you a huge advantage in all of these. I don't know if it's against any rules, but they should be truly randomized rather than putting the top half against the bottom half.

Mad777 already gave an answer, it was like that in the beginning in rules. I prefer seeded system so that bracket is weighted so that in final rounds the best ones meet, if they are not eliminated before. And I had that rulke in my tourneys since beginnings, even when my score was 2700 so I was not 1st seed back at that time.

No, I dont practice to play for third place in my tournament. That is rarely used in other tournaments as well.
