I know for a fact that the Wii is the best thing out there, completly new ideas and backwards compatability which both other systems activly avoided, they could have made their systems backwards compatable without any effort, but they went out of their way to block it to make more money. And as far as quality, let's see who's is still working well in a few years. You can bet the Wii will still be working fine, but there are questions all over about the other, it has always been that nintendo's systems are built durable and well, they care about their customers. and btw, lets take a look at the prices

I'm pretty sure that we can all agree that X-box sucks, all its got going for it is Halo, without that it would have died a long time ago, Sony as a company hates it customers, talk to FRSmk3 if you want to know how badly it sucks, I don't know much about it, just that if I were to buy a system, It'd be the Wii which would out last the other two and as soon as it gets at least one really good game will sell better

it makes me laugh that the Wii is almost 1/3 the price of the PS3 and 1/2 the price of the Xbox 360. i also laugh becuase in all the other competitions between the 3 companies, the Nintendo systems have always outlasted the others (i still have a fully functioning nintendo 64, but my PS2 that i got last year doesnt work too well) you would think that sony would get some better protection for their $500+ systems so they dont break as much.
as for me, i voted Wii.

also, the PS3 had been advertized as fully compatible with PS2 and PS1 games until the day the PS3s were released. that morning (after everyone had gone to wait in line for their crappy PS3) sony announced that the PS3 was NOT compatible, so everyone waiting in line bought a PS3 without knowing that their games from PS2 wouldnt work anymore.

Its WII or PS3... Xbox 360 blows and they jumped the gun big time.. as for the 2 left its all left to be determined.

Ok to start this off, i agree with everyone that the 360 sucks. They only have Halo going for them other than that they suck.
For the WII. Well i got some stuff for you guys. Not real facts just personal experiance. First off i never heard of the WII being backwards compatible but if it fully is that is great BUT, who wants game cube games that suck and are small and are ment for kids. They have basically no games that are aimed towards the teen group. The gamecube just basically sucked and was the worst system again last time. Nintendo did build a awsome N64. But afer the PS1 came out, the N64 kinda sucked due to it was out dated. The WII is alot cheaper because it uses cheaper material. The graphics aren't as good, and same with the game size.
Now for sony. Yes i believe sony is hurting for the PS3 on what they said. I have a ps2 and it has never given me any problems the last 3 years i have owned it. Ok for the PS3 now, it is expensive due to couple of reasons. It has built in wireless internet, 60Gb hard drive, so bigger than other systems, better graphics, and the whole new concept of Blueray Discs that can store i believe like 20gb of data while normal discs are like 6 gb (not sure on that fact of the size, all i know that it is a huge size different). So it has to be more expensive of course to pay for all those new hardware. It also has the ps1 and ps2 hardware built in side of it so it can do the backward compatipility. AND OK for all those people about sony saying it would be fully compatible they screwed up a little bit but!! are looking into it to fix it. They have 600 games that don't work on ps3 right now but fixing it. That 600 games that don't work is out of a selection of like 3000 games so cut them some slack, they made sure most games would work and be able to work so they are fixing it. And they are like the company trying a completely new technology of blue ray disc which hopefully will advance everything and then 360 and WII will behind in that aspect also.
If i have any facts wrong i am sorry and let me know but im pretty sure i am right in my facts. It is due to the superior hardware, and blue ray discs that will allow huge advancements in graphics and detail of each game that the ps3 will come out on top.

Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness, RE0, Resident Evil (the remake), Killer7, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II&III, Super Smash Bros., Metroid Prime 1&2.
Are you saying there aren't people over the age of 12 who wouldn't enjoy these games?
Plus, Nintendo's got the Virtual Console. Yeah, i know what you're gonna say "No one wants to play old Nintendo games." My response? Go look at various emulation sites and look at their Nintendo and Super Nintendo sections vs. their Genesis or even their newer ROMs.
And yes, the Wii is fully backwards compatible without an adapter, plus it consumes 1/3 of the power that the PS3 or Xbox 360 consume. It's economical, fun, and most importantly it finally renews what Nintendo is known for: Innovation.
Yes, it tanked, but the Virtual Boy was the first console to offer games in true 3D. The NES brought us the first home light gun game (Duck Hunt), the first wireless first-party accessory (The NES Satellite), and the first dance pad (The power pad).
Nintendo rules all, and so will the Wii.

Ugh, "Halo is t3h sex" *vomits*
Halo is an FPS, there's nothing special about it. Sure, it's pretty. The graphics are all shiny and shit. But outside of that, there is absolutely nothing that separates it from every other FPS out there.
It's fucking Half-Life in Space.

Yes i agree i like some of the old nintendo games, duck hunt and super mario were and still are sweet games in my book, Also Super smash brothers was my favorite games on it. I lost complete interest in gamecube cause it sucked and game selection was way below what i wanted, i wanted shooting, racing and rpg's. Like socom, need for speed, splinter cell, and now the new games for the ps3 that are shooters.
And with this backwards compaitibily, you saying they bring games back out from N64 or just gamecube games are compatible with the WII?
And i do notice that Nintendo did start off the gaming platform, they brought the first things ever to games and made huge advancements, im just saying they lost the battle when sony produced PS1 and then took off from there and nintendo had nothing to compete aganst it and the gamecube just made it even worse for them, who knows maybe this new WII system will bring them back up in competition against sony in terms of greatness of games. (as in graphics, the game playing, detail in frames, and the actual story lines.)
Resident evil games are yes look good but i would take any fisrt person shooters over that.

As far as using cheap materials, the superstar of that is microsoft, and we all know the graphics aren't half as good on the Wii but I personally don't care if my games look like real life, the point I was making about the backwards compatability was that they put it in special, they could have easily left it off but they stuck a slot for Game Cube games on it. I have a working Super Nintendo and I've met maybe one person who still has a PS1 that works, that tells me one thing, quality so go spend your $600 for real life graphics and a couple of years use, I'll stck with a system that'll last til the next generation

I have PS1 that works a PS2 that works and both of these are before they shrunk it on both of them symbolizing that they are both. I intend to buy a ps3.. the people who are not smart are the ones who hurry and buy them now before all the kinks are worked out.. as for me I will be buying the ps3 next spring.

That's smart, I think the reason I don't know anybody who has one that works, they went out and bought one when it came out. That is another plus of nintendo, they work out the kinks before trying to sell it, ever wonder why theirs is always last out?

A job, and the fact that my grandma is generous.
In fact, my entire selection of game consoles is based on Christmas and my birthday.

The WII is cheap 250?
Also, in a couple paychecks as a teen it is easy to get 600.
