The lady who is trying to get them banned where I live was asked if she'd ever read them to see if they were as bad as she was saying they were and she said no because they are too long. The HP books are some of my favorites and they get kids to read. I"ve no idea why anyone is against them and I've never seen a legitimate arguement about why they are bad. If you have one I'd love to see it.

this is typical of our wonderful world. I have yet to meet a person who has read all of them all the way thru who wishes them to be banned. banning something because of something you have heard, or because you read the dust jacket and did not like it is silly, but that is the way the world seems to work today.

freedom of speech only works if it protects against the speech we hate the most.

how can a book be banned in the US??
