Any motorcyclers out there? I've been riding since I was about 13, so that makes it 30 years...I have a customized 85 V-Max with about 12000 miles on it...dynos at almost 150 hp at the tire. Also have a beautiful 71 CT90, a nice 69 Z50 (my son's) and a franken Z50 I made from parts with a 125 in it...have an old beater spree for shows to.....

Keep the shiny side up!

am a motorcycler by birth i suppose u could say. my parents are heavy duty into ABATE (for choice on helmet laws) and are major "cycle event enthusiasts". I've been riding since about 4. Currently my dad owns a 1997 Harley Roadster, and a 1976? fatboy. I used to love riding with my boyfriends as well...*2 in particular* oh yeah lets not forget to include that my mother is the MC for the one-eyed-worm contest and my dad holds a booth for beaver-shaving designs..

Once again, you prove yourself cool! I am a sponsoring member of Abate (A Brotherhodd Against Totalitarian Enactment)...always have my booth set up at the local year end runs...have some great pix...thank god as I usually don't remember the end of the party too well! Good thing they are camp outs. Your dad's job sounds fun!!

Love the hogs but I love going fast better........

Custom Soft Tail... 97...
I used to live to ride now it is more of a dinner cruise and poker run machine.
ABATE... HOG... Otherwise independant
Always in the wind but our lousy scum sucking bytch piss ant twerp Dem-Fem-nazzi-kunt shitferbrains Governer vetoed our adult choice helmet law last year so my wind is still a bit diminished... I hope she chokes to death on a fur ball!

May the road always come up to meet you!

I started a couple years before you Kool I was 6 or 7 and that's about 32 years ago.

My dad still has the artic cat mini bike with a sachs moped engine they deleted the pedals from at the factory.

I still own my third bike a 1986 KX 250, my fourth bike an RD 350 and my fifth and current a 2001 heritage soft tail classic. (hopfully paid off next year, stupid 7 year financing.)

I don't mind wearing a hat because I've allways had to. With dirt bikes when you're a kid you use them when you fall off. There has allways been helmet laws here in Canada, sort of makes sense with the socialized health care, but they don't legislate healthy diet, yet.

I think once you're 21 you should be able to make your own choice.

Hey guys..Cinamom...Im impressed....I may even have bumped into yer folks...(Sturgis? Daytona? Tijuana?) And hey to the speedy Koolio...gotta admit, rice rockets have their place......(insert joke here)
Lets see...in chron.order....68 Triumph Bonnie 650,'70 Norton 650, 74 HD Sportster 1000, 78 Lowrider, and then my '85 Superglide, (which ended up with a electraglide front and rear end.....lowered, with a flamed seat, front and rear fenders, and two separate dragon murals on each side of the "fat bobs".
My son has a late 90's Fat Boy.......but unless yer talkin about "fat bob tanks" Cenamom,,,,,I think ur confused. They started makin Fat Boys in '90 I believe....(and yeah KoolBak, Ill post some pics as soon as I get a scanner!)

oh, and btw 2dimes: there wasnt always a helmet law (maritimes or BC) and as late as '86 BC had an 8 mth span where we had no helmet law cause BCCOM had taken the law to court and won! Trust me, I had 20 yrs ridin under my belt in 86 and I remember leavin for Sturgis from the island, and ridin all the way to S.D. lid free..........and.......thanx to BCCOM we still are the only province to be able to wear "beanies" instead of 30lb weights on our heads! 8)

LET THOSE WHO RIDE DECIDE :!:

Ah but B.C. isn't really Canada. That's one of the reasons I keep thinking of coming to that side of the rocks. I should just get off the couch and buy something in Texada.

I was thinking in terms of being here in haliburta (the province to your right on the maps it's changing all the time, I don't mind the place being owned by big oil but I'm getting to old to work here. Nearly 4 decades.).

Alberta has allways had the wear it law and though I don't mind covering the bald dome, I completly agree it should be optional.

It's getting sillier too. As you can see in my new avatar my 3 year old can go bare headed so far on her rocking fat boy, but she has to by law wear a lid on her pedel bike.

I forgot about this post...cool.......

Agree that one should be able to make up ones own mind re: helmets....I understand the feds not wanting to pay for the health care of vegetables, but.........

I dont like being told to wear my seatbelt, clean my plate or take the garbage either, but what are ya gonna do? Big brother's watchin.....

Having grown up riding dirt bikes and racing, the helmet is kind of second nature, as mentioned above, but nevertheless.......sick of being told what to do.

In the mountains I can ride how I want

Same here. I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic.

Not my bike (dont have a pic) but this one is pretty close. I do have a rear seat w/bitch bar, bags and no windshield.

OK, so it's not close...but it's the same model & color!

Much like the concealed carry law the worries about paying for all of the vegies is nothing but hyperbole...
All of the states bordering Michigan have adult choice laws and their numbers are identical to ours and have shown no statistical differance, up or down since the let those who ride decide laws went into effect.
As always education and personal responsability have a much bigger impact than more laws but then more laws means more money for the government in fines and costs and lets not forget that we have to protect the profit margins of the insurance companies too!!!
I love the Beenie laws... now that is hystericle. You have to have a beenie even though it is nothing more than a half pound of fiberglass that protects nothing. Priceless!

I will try to find a pick of my scoot to post here...

Yeah I somehow feel uncomfotable without a hat because I've allways wore it. However as a guy was pointing out on another forum, you're kind of choosing between mashed head making you a veg VS. the broken neck making you a quadrapaligic.

Either way you're going to get to wear a diaper.

Amen.....I'm cool with that.

Some patches on my vest.......

If it's too loud, you're too old.

Loud pipes save lives.

It's a beautiful day; watch some asshole f*ck it up.

Honk to see finger.
