The Maryland State Police have agreed to abolish their physical fitness requirements after settling a lawsuit brought by the Mamala Kamala Administration.

In the lawsuit, Mamala Kamala's Department of Justice said that the MSP Functional Fitness Assessment Test, which requires candidates for the position of State Trooper run a 15 minute mile, discriminated against women and the disabled. Cited as evidence, they noted that only 51% of females and the disabled were able to pass the test, while 95% of male candidates passed.

DOJ officials announced that the federal government has reached an agreement with Maryland's Department of State Police to settle claims that MDSP's hiring process for state troopers was discriminatory in nature and in violation of the Civil Rights Act.

Equal opportunities for employment in law enforcement "are not just a core civil right, but essential to ensuring that those who serve reflect the rich gender diversity of the communities they are sworn to protect," Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division said Wednesday in a DOJ news release.

According to the Justice Department, if approved by a judge as required, the agreement to settle the allegations will then resolve a "civil pattern and practice" investigation which was opened July 2022 by DOJ's Civil Rights Division.

No updates possible until after the election. This only applies to Maryland for now so Mamala Kamala will have to be inaugurated as the Mamala of America before she introduces this to D.C., the other 49 states, and the 7 territories.

Imagine failing a 15-minute mile. Thats essentially a brisk walking pace.
