Who is taking away Free School Lunches? And did you provide any evidence, p-rat?
since you asked...
HOUSE REPUBLICANS WANT TO BAN UNIVERSAL FREE SCHOOL LUNCHES
The Republican Study Committee’s annual budget also calls to permanently defund UNRWA and eliminate the National Labor Relations Board.

As states across the country move to make sure students are well fed, Republicans have announced their intention to fight back.

Republican elected officials [size=200]at both the state and federal level are actively working to block students from receiving free or reduced-price school lunches — meals that experts say are key to reducing childhood hunger in the United States.

Your first source (theintercept), which will not allow me to copy and paste is, is MISLEADING. The part that is relevant is that the ban is for the part that allows ALL, not just poor, students, from receiving FREE Lunch. OBFUSCATION. There is no reason for me to read more.
The New Republic? Liberal and biased. No need to read.
Your third source talks about SUMMER Lunch program, not the one that most think of. AGAIN, misleading and OBFUSCATION. Shame on you for misleading people. TYour entire post is just another example of the rabid, name-calling, and very partisan politics that dominate the public discourse in this day and age.
https://americanjournalnews.com/republicans-deny-free-school-lunch-low-income-students/millions of low-income students from those seven Republican-controlled states won’t get $120 this summer to spend on groceries,
And the attempt is to control costs, that are simply OUT OF CONTROL in the Federal Budget. Frankly, you are finding mintutia and arguing that "Republicans are trying to steal Social Security from Grandma"...the SAME type of argument that does not allow rational measures to be taken to CONTROL COSTS.
note FROM YOUR SOURCE:
Michigan joined the list on July 20 when Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed a bipartisan education budget that makes breakfast and lunch free for all public school students in the state.
NOTE two facts quoted above:
1) FOR ALL and
2) breakfast.
