You always seem to harp on curiously obscure political topics, saxi, ...and from such small, out-of-the-way countries like the U.K. too....

Ask Trump about him - they're good mates. Until it pays one of 'em to stab the other in the back.

The UK uses the same constituency-based system the US inherited, which is designed to keep the established parties in power and prevent anyone who makes the elite uncomfortable from getting anywhere near the decision-making. Farage's old party (UKIP) got 13% of the popular vote in the 2015 general election and ended up with 0 seats in Parliament to show for it.

What's far more likely is that Reform beat the Conservatives in the popular vote, the Conservatives get all the opposition seats anyway, and the public will be happy because they enjoy living in a democracy where their leaders listen to them.

Lab is short for Labrador Retriever, ...but I don't recognize any of the other breeds. I suppose it's some desultory regional mix of various hounds, collies, and terriers.

Unless I've lost count, this is Farage's 4th party and he has yet to become an MP. He did serve in the European Parliament, while opposing its very existence.
