You know the divine powers that be are fed up with your political bullshit when they zap the big lady to bring her to life like a giant Frankenstein. *FREEDOM ACTIVATE*
I quake at the sight; my mighty nation has fallen into ruin. The collapse of this nation* under the current administration has caused the weakening of the world and the onslaught of evil into the world. I beg my children to pray for the upcoming elections. Pray for the right people to be put into office by the people of this nation, not those who seek power and control for evil’s ways. Go therefore and know who you put in office, vote for this country and its people not for some hidden agenda. Seek my ways and not man’s ways says the Lord God.
Go.

Lady Liberty is struck by lightning 600 times every year. Standing proud, exposed to the elements, the statue has to withstand around 600 lightning bolts every year, and, in high winds, the torch can sway by about 5 inches side-to-side!
Pray the ignorant decide not to vote this year to demonstrate the magnitude of God's will.

How do you know that's lightning striking it? Maybe it's an image of the statue firing a plasma bolt at an inbound UAP from the orbital defense weapon installed in its torch?

I like Saxi's option.
Certainly more likely than any fictitious character's intervention.
Gaynor Sullivan MBE, known professionally as Bonnie Tyler, is a Welsh singer who is known for her distinctive husky voice, and some overly dramatic music videos. .

Appropriate on the day of the Eclipse; I played it early on 4/8/24.
Just as a laugh, I heard a few students talk on 4/8 about today being the 2nd coming of Jesus (the "End Times.") I told them that was not going to happen as not enough signs occurred (found in the Book of Revelation) and that there have been SO MANY predictions before that never came true.

Next, let's interpret another great work of fiction: Green Eggs and Ham!
