boston has its charm, but you'd be insane to vacation there instead of new york.

ive lived in both for years. the people of boston are the most miserable people i have ever encountered. the people of NY are surprisingly friendly. Manhattan is an incredible experience. So much more to do in NY

Toss up. I love Boston due to my fascination with American Revolution History. I lived there for about 3 years, recruited out of the Navy there, and got laid countless times by good looking New England women.
On the other hand, I am from New York, and there is infinitely more to do there (clubbing, shows, theaters, sports, etc.). If you can, take this as a last chance to go see Yankee Stadium, even if you don't like them. The Stadium is still a big part of baseball history.

Boston has bomb threats that aren't really bomb threats.
