Favorite Guitarists

Postby Handsome Josh on Sun Jan 21, 2007 3:46 pm

I was just wondering who everyone's favorite guitarists are. Some of mine would have to be John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Jonny Greenwood.

I just respect their musical skill

If you're going to have the username of DIRESTRAITS, don't you have to list Mark Knopfler in there ? :)

(Cause he's a badass and very underrated...)

Two more that aren't here...

John5 and Johnny Hiland. Johnny Hiland is probably the best guitarist most people have never heard of. He's on Steve Vai's Favored Nations label. It's very country for the most part, but on his bluesy stuff, he wails.

Oh...Jeff Beck. And was Clapton mentioned in here already ?

The amount of Hendrix fans on this forum is appalling. He wasn't anything new, or unique.

first of all, the guitarist for Pink Floyd was first Syd Barret, but when he died, David Gilmour took over lead.

my favourite is Clapton, the 2 Jimis and Randy Bachman, oh and David Gilmour and Barret too.
