I attended IU during the Knight era...he's an ass, but he's one hell of a coach. The whole Calbert Chaney whip picture happened when I was there. And I was at the game where he hit his son. (I think his son deserved to be hit...and with something heavier, too.)

I find it interesting how people excuse bad behavior. "Sure he's a serial rapist/axe murderer...but look at his record!!!".

you'd say the same thing if you knew the guy. he's a great coach and definitely deserves this record.

Off court? All his crap has been on-court from what I have seen. Besides, it's just a game...and basketball at that!

He's a screamer...he has no tact. Yell, yell, yell until things go your way. No doubt he also yells at this wife, kids, waiters, parking lot attendants, retail sales people and any one else he feels like belittling. And like all screamers...they believe they own the planet and are generally a pain to everyone nearby.

Nope, didnt call him that. It's called an analogy. I was pointing out how people, like yourself, explain away bad or criminal behavior by pointing out the positives...like that somehow makes it all OK.

ok, so let's say you are a basketball coach and you're gettin paid 25 mil. USD to coach a bunch of college kids and the AD wants you to win a champ. now, these kids don't practice, and are gettin out of line. what do you do?
