I don't think so. But that was the one problem with it. In the beginning they called the kraken, the goliathin which if anyone knows is supposed to be larger and spit sparks of fire from it's mouth.

It probably would, since Jack has to come back in the third movie to make it any good.

Or...

When Davy Jones cried out, "Jack Sparrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when he thought Jack had the heart, that could cause him to make the kraken spit Jack out again.

Didn't like it.

Three way sword fight was best part. Too little - Too late.

Yawned through most of the first half.

kraken didint die, well it could have but it most likely didint.. and davey jones said "your debt has been repaid jack sparrow" when the kraken ate him, so he obviously did die, but hence them having to sail past the worlds end to fetch him, to bring him back to life... did anyone pay attention to the very end??

Because it was common practice for the East India company to brand pirates when they were captured.

Look Barbosa is back after being killed they are saving Jack from the same place so he's dead but he will still be back. Oh the kraken didn't have a bunch of teeth for no reason trust me jack wouldn't be in one piece in the belly of that beast.

ya man, Pirates 2 is sweet, open ending but very sweet, and dam, can't believe that that pirate is back from the first one, the one Jack Sparrow shot in the heart, and now they are going to rescue Jack from the flying ducthman...like what, do you always come back to life after you die..like you got 3 lives or something. lol...anyone who hasn't seen it better go see it.

Dude, go to pages 2 and 3 to get a theory of how "the pirate" from the first movie lives.

They called it a leviathan at the beginning. I noticed the switch too. But, a leviathan and the kraken are both mythological sea monsters, so I'm not surprised that the words would be used interchangably.

I thought it was OK. I laughed and that's what I expected from a Pirates movie. I didn't think the special effects were as neat this time around. But, I think it would be hard to top the living dead thing from the first one.

I just thought the bad guys were nasty looking this time.

And I didn't get the timing of the beginning. Did Elizabeth know they had taken Will? Did she think Will had stood her up? Was she sad because it was raining? The timing was weird.

Leviathan is talked about in Job as being a brontosaurus.
