Biden emphasized that the DOJ concluded he should not be charged over classified documents found in his home and an office — and quoted sections of the report that contrasted his behavior with that of former President Donald Trump, who faces federal charges related to retention of classified documents.

Biden blamed his staff for the documents being in the wrong places, and said he should have overseen their efforts more closely.

He angrily responded to special counsel Robert Hur's description of a portion of an interview in which Hur said Biden seemed to not remember when his son, Beau, died.

"How in the hell dare he raise that?" Biden said, adding it was "none of their damn business," and choking up with emotion. "I don't need anyone to remind me when he passed away," he said. He said that Hur's description did not belong in the report. "They don't know what they're talking about," he said.

Beau Biden died in 2015.

Asked by a reporter about the description of being "a well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory," Biden said: "I'm well meaning and I'm an elderly man and I know what I'm doing."

All administrations search for a slogan to mobilize support and communicate with the public. For Donald Trump it was “Make America Great Again.” For Joe Biden it is “an economic policy for the middle class” — or, in shorthand, “Bidenomics.”

Rooted in the philosophical foundation of the Democratic Party with its pro-labor, pro-union, Big Government orientation, Bidenomics is the polar opposite of the Reaganomics that President Biden and his acolytes increasingly lambast.

And no, I don't care about the pandemic bullshit. The whole world seemed to lose its marbles and act badly during that one -- Conservatives in Britain, Liberals in Canada, Communists in China, whatever the idiot in India calls his philosophy, etc., they all handled it badly. So I thought Trump behaved like an idiot during the pandemic, but no more an idiot than most of the world's leaders.

Among serious criticisms of the Trump presidency was giving a big tax break to the rich and continuing to f*ck the working man. But any other Republican would have done the same, so that isn't a uniquely Trumpian issue.

Fucking over the refugees was a big moral crime, in my mind. But again, probably any other Republican would have done the same. Cruz would have been far worse. So while it does piss me off, I am realistic enough to know that a lot of other presidents would have pissed me off equally, and some even more so. So it's not a particularly bad strike against Trump specifically.

The single biggest crime of the Trump presidency was tearing up the Iran peace deal and putting the radicals back in power in Iran. Memories are short, and people now have mostly already forgotten that before Trump, the secular opposition in Iran was growing fast. If the peace deal had held, by now it's entirely possible that a rational secular government would be in power in Teheran, and the ayatollahs would be just a bad memory. By tearing up the peace deal, Trump almost single-handedly put the ayatollahs back in the driver's seat and doomed the nascent secular government in Teheran to extinction. Everything that's happening this year, in Gaza, in Jordan, in Yemen, etc., can be traced to Iranian extremists, and their rebirth and re-ascendancy can be directly traced to Trump ripping up the peace deal.

But all that being said, Trump's presidency was not the worst thing imaginable. Trump's greatest crimes came long before he started running for office.

Don't forget this is the thief who backdoored two and a half million dollars from his phony casino. And got away with it! Have you ever seen a casino go bankrupt before? Unheard of. It takes a really amazing thief to steal so much that a casino goes bankrupt! And gets away with it, shite! I know a guy who went to jail for backdooring a second-hand hoist from his bankrupt muffler shop, probably worth 1500, and this cocksucker steals 2.5 million and doesn't even get a slap on the wrist!

The casino was a clear RICO violation. Trump's presidency is basically irrelevant. He shouldn't have been running for president at all in 2016, he should have been doing 15-to-20 in San Quentin. Except at the time he still had Chris Christie on the payroll and it could all be swept under the carpet.

And Trump University! How many hundreds of thousands did he steal there? I don't care that much about his various real estate scams and stuff. As I've said in this forum before, most of his real estate scams involve ripping off other real estate scammers, who ought to have known better and done their due diligence. And ripping off Deutches Bank, hell, I can almost congratulate him on that one. DB certainly doesn't come to the table with clean hands! But Trump University was something new and evil. Ripping off working-class people who really thought they were going to learn something. Many of them emptied out their life savings, some took second mortgages, just to find out they weren't going to learn anything, and every "class" was just an excuse to upsell to some other "class" in which they would again learn nothing. Poor people just trying to improve their lives and instead being bankrupted by a con-man. That's evil.

Oh, and one more thing, I guess, from the presidency. Remember the Puerto Rico hurricane, how towns where the mayor kissed ass got federal relief funds, and towns where the mayor didn't, got nothing? That's pure fucking graft. You're a citizen, you pay your taxes, you're entitled to equal treatment under the law. You shouldn't have to get on your knees and swallow the president's jizz just to get what you're legally entitled to.

He also got into a trade war with the entire world, and spend 2 years pissing off USA's closest allies to renegotiate trade deals with the final products showing no material gains vs the old treaties. None of it did anything to make goods cheaper for Americans or turn the 'jobs heading overseas' train around, nor did lay the groundwork for a long term rebound in US manufacturing. It was pure Kabuki theater for political points that took us back to where we started while ruining relationships with countries all over the world. It also had the side effect of totally derailing the global supply chain just in time for the pandemic to entirely collapse them. If we'd just had a trade war with China it would have made sense, but going full on Napoleon vs the world and reintroducing tarrifs after 100 years without them was only ever going to spur on inflation over time.

Nikki Haley (R) to make inroads into cutting into his support as the two battle for the GOP's 2024 presidential nomination, and one GOP strategist claims his declining mental capacity is fair game.

In a column for MSNBC, campaign strategist Susan Del Percio pointed out that the former president has only himself to blame for making his decline front and center as the primary season ramps up and that Haley is doing a good job of raising the alarm that the former president is not up to the job of being president again.

As Del Percio explained, Trump is obviously not the person he was during his 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns and he now appears "haggard" as he makes his third bid for the presidency.

Pointing to Trump's mistaking Haley for former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in a recent speech which raised alarms about the former president's declining state of mind, Del Percio wrote that Haley should keep up her attacks, while adding, "Trump is not going to like that. These clearly get under his skin, to the extent that he has started bragging about 'acing' a cognitive test at campaign stops. This feels a bit like a toddler showing their parents they can tie their own shoes."

She added, "She’s been pushing for him [Trump] to 'prove' his fitness publicly in a debate, and that’s an argument that benefits all voters. Americans deserve to see Trump — and Haley and Biden — enter this arena. Feeling confident that your candidate has the endurance and mental agility to perform his duties is literally the least we can ask."

Using an opinion piece from MSNBC is not good evidence; that place is FULL of liberal Democrats who spout the party line and attack anything and anyone else.

It is not up to me to decide on the Party nominees. It seems that, as of now, it will be Trump vs. Biden. I think there is MUCH more evidence that Biden is both mentally and physically unfit for POTUS than is Trump. Most voters seem to agree.

As I have said, I prefer nearly anyone to either Biden or Trump. By the time it gets to Super Tuesday, when I can cast my one vote, that may not matter. I suspect that Haley will lose her home state of South Carolina and will then drop out. So that leaves US Biden vs. Trump, part II.

I think that Democrat Party "leaders" and party bosses, if there are ANY, need to tell Biden to step aside; he is UNFIT to run again. Jill Biden should tell her husband that, but she seems to enjoy being First Lady TOO MUCH to step aside, too.

Donald Trump Friday was hit with a stream of criticism for several verbal slip-ups at just one event for the NRA in Pennsylvania.

The former president slurred when saying the word "subsidies," said "dino-dollars" instead of "dollars," and even said he doesn't like being frontpage news every time he "said one word a little bit mispronunciation." He also said that three years ago things were great, despite that being when Joe Biden became president, and he claimed twice there were no terror attacks during his tenure as president. He also said that Biden hasn’t spoken in months despite him addressing press last night.

The flubs drew wide criticism from online onlookers.

Democratic youth activist Harry Sisson, in response to the ex-president's "subsidies" flub, said, "Yikes."

"Trump is slurring his speech again claiming that 'Rich people are given $7,000 subsies.' Uh...subsies?" he asked. "I'm not sure what that is and I don't think anyone else does either. He can't say subsidies properly so he must have dementia. Right, Republicans?"

Regarding the "subsies," former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski said, "Dementia Trump is staring at the teleprompter, pauses to think about it, and still can't say it."

In yet another instance pointed out by the Biden-Harris HQ account on social media, Trump "gets distracted with bizarre story."

"I know all about the marbles. I can tell you every marble," Trump said.

This prompted former federal prosecutor Elizabeth de la Vega to say, "Well, he lost his marbles long ago."

Trump also appeared to mistake what day it was, saying, "If I wasn't here, I'd be having a nice Saturday afternoon." He said that, of course, on a Friday. This one was also picked up by Biden-Harris HQ.

Even though you cannot vote in the US election, I like to hear from you, Duk. I do not agree with many of those opinions, but at least you present mostly rational reasons and often present good supporting evidence. I cannot say the same of most of the Biden supporters here in this Forum.

Trump has not yet been convicted of a crime. He lost a CIVIL case on the alleged sexual attack on that writer, E. Jean Carroll. The evidence and case in a civil court are at a much lower standard than in a criminal case, so Trump is NOT yet a convicted criminal.

Hur laid out in detail how Biden mishandled classified materials, writing that FBI agents discovered materials from “the garage, offices, and basement den in Mr. Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, home.”

The materials included classified documents, including some marked at the highest top secret/sensitive compartmented information level, related to military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, as well as and notebooks “containing Mr. Biden’s handwritten entries about issues of national security and foreign policy implicating sensitive intelligence source and methods.”

The special counsel raised Biden’s age and memory in explaining why he didn’t bring charges.

First of all, these are NOTHING compared with the gaffes and obvious signs of mental decline and senility of Biden, the old feeble man. Many are minor and have no real significance. Speaking so long and so often I am surprised that Trump has SO FEW. As I already posted, Trump spoke for HOURS during a Press Conference, with NO notes and NO aides showing him where to WALK, and made few stumbles while Trump was the POTUS.
