What's so bad about the Packers? They were 8-8

They've been superbowl favorites the last 3 years. That's more of a team issue than a conference issue.

P Gizzle wrote:what division can have 3 teams in the playoffs, yet none of them have more than 10 wins? The NFC East....

All those teams have the worst fans anyways.

The NFC was the original NFL, before they were invited the AFL into our league.

The AFC has the Cleveland Browns and the Oakland Raiders...nuff said

Superbowl wins:
NFC 21
AFC 19

NFC= better

might i start with the "world's greatest defense" giving up 24 points? that's not so great is it? might i also mention that the only reason we lost was because Matt "im a retard" Hasselbeck decided that holding on to the ball would have been better than throwing it away, puttin the hawks outside of FG territory. out play calling (as usual) sucked due to holmgren's inability to realize that Alexander can only run inside and does much better that way....

just be glad ur in the Super Bowl, you'll be the butt of many jokes, much like i was, after it.......

I don't think anyone has called them the worlds greatest defence for quite awhile.

The first time the Bears played the SeaChicks you said Alexander would have made a difference. He didn't. Blame it on whom ever you want.

I am very happy the Bears are in the Super Bowl But the difference between the two of us is I won't make excuses if the Colts win.

How about the colts the last 4 years? Everyone knew by midseason that the panthers were't as great as they appear on paper. The colts on the other hand go undefeated 3/4 of the season, and the media's saying 16-0, but come playoff time, it's a blowout

I'm looking at recent SB wins, and sure, the last 10 years it's been 7-3, AFC. But leading up to that was a 13 year streak of NFC superbowl champs.

And mind you, 8-8 is a hell of a lot better than a 9-7 team <cough> seahawks <cough> who play in the worst division in the NFL.

A loss is a loss. The score might have been closer but the end result was the same.

Man, P Gizzle just really hates dem Bears doesn't he?

You get right down to it, there's really only one primary reason why the Bears' defense is giving up more yardage and points than they did earlier in the year. Tommie Harris got sidelined for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury in Week 12. While his replacement Alfonso Boone has done an adequate job for the most part, Harris was a juggernaut who consistently required double coverage to be stopped at all (and he still managed to get in 5 sacks and a fumble recovery). With Harris in the mix, the defensive front four could consistently collapse the pocket and flush out or even sack a QB, leaving seven guys back in pass coverage.

If Harris were able to play against the Colts, it'd be a much different game. Regardless, it's going to be one helluva game, and I think it's going to be a close contest.

P Gizzle the seahawks are not that bad, give it up. And yes the NFC has some bad teams but my point was they have more good teams that the AFC and the beat each other up. The AFC has a few great teams that dominate the bad ones. so they're about even overall

Although I have rooted for the Colts in the past, the Bears will win the Super Bowl, but not by much. It'll be an exciting game.

How about we take Alexander and Tutapu from the hawks, and lets see how they fair.

For someone to say the phrase, "as usual", there needs to be a trend. And since the packers have the best record in the NFL since 1993, with one losing season during that period and 2 superbowls, I fail to see a trend. But maybe that's just me.

Anyone here other than me think that PeeGuzzle is just flaming others because he can't back up his own side?

he can't be that bad. After all, he did get you guys to the superbowl. Tends to make odd decisions every once in a while though. Like completely failing to stop the run in SB XXXII against the broncos

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!! try every play, or two....

ok, in the bears game, he decided that Shaun Alexander was only gonna run outside....it so happens that when he runs outside we lose 3-6 yds. when he runs inside, we gain at least 10 yards!! WTF!
