Well I just started so I've only got $100,000

Didnt they say that they were going to cut the interest you get in half this season?

Find their team ID number (it's in parentheses next to their team name), then go to challenges in your team menu. Enter their team id, click challenge.

When your youth squad hits excellent, do you have to keep giving them money?

If so, how much?

Mine is weak right now, and I havent gotten any good players yet so I'm debating weather or not to put money in at all.

To start with, don't spend any money on your youth team. I didn't put any in until about my 3rd full season.

Think of it as gambling. It's a lottery. Only gamble what you can afford to lose. At the start of the game, you can't afford to waste any cash.

But if I stop the money flow, will they start to go down?

That would mean I basically wasted about $50,000-$75,000.

I cant do that

Yep have to keep up the funding to your Youth Squad, if you stop and it drops a level it takes more to gain back that level than what it originally did to get there.

yes, it drops, but when you start the game you need every penny to strengthen the squad. I did exactly the same, spent money on my youth squad when I started - had to cut my losses and spend the money where it could make the biggest difference.

It's your call, but my suggestion would be to not waste money gambling on your youth squad. I've gone a complete season with an excellent youth team without pulling a player with higher than 'inadequate' as their main skill. You can pick up inadequate players for less than 1000 pounds stirling. For the record, the max you can pay into the youth team in England is £13,333

On the flip side, 2 seasons ago I got 2 17yr old solid playmakers in the first 2 weeks :)

I'm already getting inadequete players, maybe my youth squad is better than yours?

I'll just keep putting in $5,000 a week, (the lowest level) so that they dont go down.

In a couple of seasons I think I'll be happy that I have a good youth squad.

New season starting, thought I'd revive this thread and ask,

Should I buy some more trainees or wait to sell the ones I have?
