There has always been a burning question is my head when it comes to CC. Who is the best moderator.
Well I asked that very question not so long back and it appears we have come to an inconclusive answer as 4 moderator claim that they are the best. The mods in question are sempaispellcheck, Evil Semp, thehippo8 & rdsrds2120.
So with your help they all aim to prove once and for all who is the best and become the (unofficial) Ultra Mod
How the tournament works is as follows. Each moderator starts with a team of 16 players. When you guys sign up to play just state who you are going to represent.
Round 1 & 2 of the tournament will be different for you depending on which moderator you are representing as in these first two rounds you compete against your own team of 16 in however your mod wants to test you. This will be all in writing once I get the info from the mods.
Once we get to Round 3 there will be 16 players left in the tournament with each moderator having 4 players left representing them. At this point the moderators play a game among themselves, the winner of that game decides the layout for Round 3 and which of their players will compete. At this point one player is eliminated from the tournament each round. After each round the mods will face off again with the winner choosing how the following round is played. This is the format for the rest of the tournament until only one mod has players left in which they are crowned the (unofficial) Ultra Mod
Once we have crowned the Ultra Mod if there are more than 1 player left in their team then these players must battle in out to be crowned tournament winner, again the moderator will decide the game format.
Once the ultra mod is crowned, if they have more than one players left in their team then they will play off in the final of the tournament on a random map in a terminator game to be crowned tournament winner.

Update
After an extremely long round, sniffie is the latest casualty from the tournament after his team was the first to be eliminated from the Round 6 game, and he was the first between the 2 to be eliminated.
The Mod round for Round 7 shall commence shortly. Hopefully this tournament can start moving along at a faster pace...

Update
Of the 4 mods originally participating in the tournament, 2 have since left the site (thehippo8 and rdsrds2120), and so we're now left with just Evil Semp and sempaispellcheck. In the light of this change, and in an effort to speed up the pace of the tournament, I shall be changing the tournament rules as follows:
Mod games shall be abolished.
The player(s) that win the elimination game earn the right for their Mod Team members to pick the settings for the next elimination game.
All game settings available at the time of the creation of the tournament can be chosen (includes Trench); others are off limits (i.e. no games more than 8 players, no Polymorphic, no Parachute or No Fortifications). Beta Maps are also off limits. Availability of Doubles, Triples and Quads is dependent on the number of players in the smallest remaining Mod Team.
Presently, players will be chosen to represent their team based on how many elimination games they've played so far. It's only fair that each player faces an equal number of opportunities to have been eliminated.
Once the play count for each team member is equal, players will simply be chosen in the order their name appears on the list in the tournament scoreboard.
I am also currently looking for replacements for PonyGal(Team thehippo8) and rgrjoey001(Team sempaispellcheck). Failing which, I shall award an 'extra life' to the member of their team that survives the most number of elimination games before being eliminated.
Round 7's game has been created and sent out, with settings decided by Team sempaispellcheck's General Bax. Good luck!

Update
Control over the game settings clearly gave General Bax the advantage he needed as he ends up on top, taking home the win for Team sempaispellcheck once again.
loenatiek from Team rdsrds2120 was the first to be taken out of the fray, and has thus been eliminated from the tournament.
Round 8 shall commence with Itrade, the recent replacement for Team sempaispellcheck, choosing the settings. vintender from Team thehippo8 has also decided to quit the tournament; remaining team members - Egel and Edgron will thus be getting an additional life each to make up for the loss of team members.

Update
With the settings that were chosen for the game, it was inevitable that the player who was lucky enough to get the first move - Egel - managed to win the game for Round 8, giving his teammate Edgron the advantage for Round 9 by being able to choose the game settings.
therealdeal_37 from Team rdsrds2120 was the first to be taken out of the fray. However, since his teammate, TaelS, has decided to leave the tournament due to an increased workload, therealdeal_37 was awarded an extra life and will continue on in the tournament. Both he and Wizz00 are the last remaining players for their respective teams, while Team sempaispellcheck and Team thehippo8 are both still at full strength!

Update
Despite Edgron's the advantage in Round 9, the unpredictability of the nuclear settings and bad dice was ultimately his undoing as therealdeal_37 assassinated him, making him the first casualty from Team thehippo8! However he had an extra life previously awarded to him, and thus will still be part of the tournament, for now.
therealdeal_37 will be choosing the settings for Round 10.

There's something poetic in that - the player who introduced me to CC stepping in to represent me in a tournament. Much appreciated, buddy!

Update
Round 10's Lunar War is now over, and brings about the second straight elimination from Team thehippo8 as Egel is the first player eliminated from the game! However, he isn't eliminated from the tournament as he was previously given an extra life to accommodate the departure of other players from his team. And with that, all the 'extra lives' have disappeared as quickly as they came, in 3 successive rounds! Team sempaispellcheck is now clearly in the lead with all 4 players still remaining in the tournament, while the others trail at 2 and 1 players remaining.
As winner of the game in Round 10, Wizz00 will be choosing the settings for Round 11.

Update
Round 11 took place on Conquer Man by random chance, and thus naturally took some time to reach the round limit. Team sempaispellcheck has its first casualty as General Bax was the player with the least troops on the board when the round limit of Round 20 came round.
Wizz00 emerged as the winner yet again, and will be choosing the settings for Round 12.

Update
Team sempaispellcheck takes a second hit in a row as dt03457 was eliminated first in Round 12, sending him packing. The playing field is now pretty even with a teams having 1 to 2 players left on each of the teams.
Wizz00 emerged as the winner yet again (3 in a row now!), and the same settings will be used.

In the "Remaining Players" tab, what does the number in brackets mean? For example, in "Itrade (2)", what does the 2 mean?

Sorry, I just saw this! The number refers to the number of games you guys have played. That's just for my reference, so I can try and even the number of games played out!
Update
Team sempaispellcheck comes back in true form and wins 2 games in a row, after losing 2 in a row. In just 2 quick rounds, the last man standing for both Team rdsrds2120 and Team Evil Semp, as therealdeal_37 and Wizz00 were eliminated in Round 13 and 14 respectively after carrying their team into this stage of the tournament.
We're now down to the final 2 of the last 2 teams - the end is in sight!

Update
Despite the settings going in the favour of Itrade at the start, Egel managed to stage a comeback and take the game, sending the player from Team sempaispellcheck packing. Seriously, if you had seen the map after the first turn, you'd have thought it was over. Team thehippo8 now leads with a 2-1 advantage.
Teammate Edgron has finally renewed his premium and so will be coming back to play the game in Round 16 against Hjaboa.

Update
After Edgron soundly defeated Hjaboa in Round 16, the 2 remaining team members from Team thehippo8 had to face off in the finals, to determine the winner. With Egel having played 8 games versus Edgron's 5 throughout the tournament, the former was given the advantage of picking the settings of the final game.
He clearly made full use of his advantage, as Egel has emerged as the champion of the tournament.
