Welcome to the 2012 World Classic!
*Please note; due to a lack of reserves, I have filled the spots of 2 drop-outs in order to get the tournament moving. I am not competing, and am purely filling in the gaps.
All players must be premium and have at least 97% attendance. Please read the sign-up rules before posting!
This tournament came about as an alternative to my Grand World Marathon series, due to the new guidelines that tournaments should be planned to end within 1 year. As long as this tournament runs to schedule (which it should as all games will be limited to 30 rounds), this tournament will finish in December 2012.
Game Settings
Map: Classic
All games will be 6-player or 1v1.
All games will have default settings, with a 30-round limit.
Sign-Up Rules
Please sign up to a group that accurately represents your geographic location if possible. If your group is already full, then please choose any group that still has a space.
Groups are based roughly on the proportion of CC players from each country.
For players outside of the US, UK and Canada, I can check your profile and place you in the appropriate group. For Americans, Brits and Canadians, I'll just have to trust you (these countries are split into several groups).
Scoring
If you win a 6-player game, you earn 3 points.
If you win a 1v1 game, you earn 1 point.
Scores are not carried over from one round to the next.
Tournament Format
Round 1
216 players are in 36 groups of 6.
Each group will play:
Round 2

Please Note: Any tie-breaks will be settled by 1v1 record between the players involved in the tie. If players are still tied, a best of 3 on Classic with the same settings will be played.
