have changed it and updated the league table....Im 99% sure that there is no other mistakes but if anyone notices anything let us know....

I have no clue how the scores are calculated so I wouldn't notice if something were off anyway.

Newcastle United changes:

Irish,
could you change the Codierose/Kennys777 doubles game map to WWII Europe Foggy.

right now it is currently Civil War

thanks much, and still gotta give you your props for keeping up with the games and the tourney.

good job

It seems that Codie PM'd you also about the change but we are going with the above map, NOT Gazala. Sorry for the confusion

sorry guys this one is starting to slip away from me.....have updated most of the games and will finish it off later...also will update the league table up to gameweek 9.....

Team Wolves have withdrawn from the tourney....I will award a win to teams that have to face Wolves from GW12 on

I am pretty sure that this tourney wont go the distance but what I will do is try to keep it going up on till Gameweek 19 that way everyone plays each other once....but if Man City continue to win and get to the point that it is mathematical impossible for anyone to catch them b4 GW19 then I will end it and declare Man City the winners....

hope this suits everyone and sorry to have to end this early but I will do it again in 5/6 months but with only 10 teams....

ok finally got around to updating the league table up till GW9...again I would ask each team to double check there own results and let us know if they spot any mistakes...

demonfork wrote:I have no clue how the scores are calculated so I wouldn't notice if something were off anyway.

I really thought everyone knew how it was calculated at this stage....in brief

if you win the quads game then you are the (ATT) attacking team in the doubles games that follow...if you then win your Doubles game as the (ATT) team thats a goal...everyone has two chances of scoring a goal each time they win a quads game...

if you lose your quads game then you are the (DEF) defending team in the doubles games that follow...if you then win your Doubles game as the (DEF) team you have successfully stopped the other team from scoring but YOU CANNOT SCORE A GOAL IN THESE GAMES

so just make sure to keep winning and you should be doing well

Again as I said in the post above team Wolves have pulled out and this tourney is going on way to long so I will be only playing half the tourney now....up on till GW19...or if it becomes impossible to catch the leader in the gameweeks left I will end it then...hope everyone is happy with this....

Gameweek 13 invites will be sent out sunday night..

just a question about the Wolves walk-overs - why award a 3-0 win rather than a 1-0 win?
seems a bit unfair on the teams that actually had to play Wolves?

cheers

3-0 is the score awarded for a forfeiting team but for this tourney we will compromise and say 2-0...its only fair for the teams that might have beaten them well

I guess that means we wont get to play our dubs games against them..............shame as we just smoked them 2-0 on their home quads board too.

I will take 2-0 though seems fair to me
send me an invite if you are looking for teammate medal

ok Gameweek 15 invites sent....and league table updated to GW10...

couple of bits of good news....

thanks to Gunn217 coming on board as co-host we plan to finish this tourney and go all the way to GW38....in an effort to get this finished A.S.A.P we will be releasing a new Gameweek every weekend....so the games will be coming thick and fast....enjoy

also I received a P.M from DJ Teflon about this tourney been eligible for the new GA medals
DJ Teflon wrote:Hi

I could award Gold and Silver Medals for the winner and runner-up according to our new policy?

:D

Subject: General Achievement Medals Policy

DJ Teflon wrote:It has now been agreed by the Tournament Directors that General Achievement Medals may also be awarded in the following circumstances:

  • General Achievement Medals may be awarded for the achievement of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, where applicable, in sports-related tournaments which follow the same format as real-life events. Such tournamnets must be of sufficient size and scope to merit these medals.

So there will be a Gold & Silver GA medal for 1st & 2nd place teams.....I will push to see if I can get a Bronze medal for 3rd place but either way this is great news....

Gameweek 16 invites sent....

there have been two teams (Wolves & Newcastle) that have withdrawn from the tourney so I sent PM to all captains asking if any other teams would like to withdraw as I would prefer to know now then to keep having teams withdraw...

IR1SH ACE wrote:hey there Captains...

Im sending this PM to all team Captains in......BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE 2011-2012 tourney

it seems like there has been a second team to withdraw from this tourney...Wolves & Newcastle

I am planning to do a restructuring of this tourney and delete all results that where gained against these two teams that have pulled out..I would like to hear from all team captains on there interest in staying in this tourney till the end...at this stage in the tourney I would imagine there might be some other teams that have ran there course on this tourney and would probably prefer to pull out as well...

if so please let us know A.S.A.P if you still wont to go all the way or if not...personally I would like to maybe cut another 6/8 teams and then redo the league table by taking all results out from the teams that have pulled out and then of the teams remaining just send out the remaining games so that each team has played each other once...

then when this is done we can finish off the second half of the season with the remaining teams..

there is still gold & silver general achievement medals available for the first & second place teams at the end of the tourney but I would imagine anyone outside the top 10 at this point in time would be well out of the running for any medals and are just playing for the experience...so I have an idea of the 6/8 teams that I would like to cut from the tourney but will first hear what each captain has to say about it...

So if you are in/not please send a PM with TEAM NAME and IN or NOT

Cheers Ace

so far I have only had responses from a few teams so please let me know A.S.A.P if your team is still in and will play this out till the end...

so far...

show: teams

will send another PM soon to teams that have not indicated if they are IN/OUT

sorry to say but there are no playoffs in the English Premier League....which ever team is on top of the table by GW38 will be the winners & receive the tourney win medal as well as a Gold GA medal...

the second place team will get Silver GA medal...thats it

I do like the idea of playoffs and when I run this tourney again I will reduce the amount of teams so there is not as many Gameweeks to play and then have some sort of playoffs after......also will try to include a Premium Prize next time...

good to have you on the team eggy....

league table has been updated to Gameweek 15 and nice to finally see a change at the top....but even better then that is the fact that "Pig Renters" teams are all taking up the top 3 spots.....can anybody stop these PIG's.....remember our motto.."HARD TO STOP"
