Changeable Home Field Settings
When posting to join this tournament, please include 2 maps which you wish to have as homefield advantage.
- Example:
- I, Mushin, being of sound ummm, well…okay sound body at least, would like to play in this great tournament. I would be honored to be numbered among the chosen. Whoever made this tournament is the greatest human being to ever exist. I am in awe of his…(you get the idea).
My 2 maps are:- Classic

Standard Mushin Disclaimer
- I am a jackass that loves overly-complicated things. As such, I have a standard two-point disclaimer.
- I WILL KEEP TRACK OF ALL THIS MADNESS- All you have to do is play. If you want to be actively involved in the tournament (debate rule interpretations, keep stats, help me with my personal issues, etc…), you are welcome to do so. If instead you just want to play and have someone else take care of everything, that’s what I do.
- DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING I SAY PERSONALLY, UNLESS IT CONCERNS THE ACTUAL TOURNAMENT AND/OR RULES- I am a jackass that likes to entertain himself by making random ridiculous comments. If, during the course of my tournament, one of my comments offends you I apologize in advance. My favorite food is sacred cow hamburger and your’s may be too juicy to pass up. If you are easily offended you may want to play in a different tournament.
The Premise
- Have you ever thought “Man, if I had played that guy with the rules and map I had wanted there’s no way I would have lost?”, or , “There may be a mouse living in my left ear.” Well my friend it’s time to kill those self-delusions. You make the rules, you take the results. Every player will have a changeable home field advantage. You think you can beat anyone when you make the rules. Time to “Man up”. You may be thinking to yourself, “But Mushin, I don’t really have any desire to be a man.” In that case, place the appropriate gender/organism term into the “prove yourself idiom” and add “up” to the end. Example: It’s time to “Platypus up.” But I digress…
Basic Game Play
- This is a tune up tourney to work out bugs. Just want to get that out in the open before hand. The guinea pigs….err…. I mean participants will each select 2 home maps when they join the tourney. These maps will be the maps they can make rules for when it's their turn to do so. Each match will be decided by a best of seven 1 vs. 1 series of games. Each player will alternate picking the map and all the settings except round length for their home game. Rounds will always be casual. The home field advantage will rotate between the two players.
example:
- game 1=team 1 home field advantage
- game 2=team 2 home field advantage
- game 3=team 1 home field advantage
- game 4=team 2 home field advantage
- game 5=team 1 home field advantage
- game 6=team 2 home field advantage
- game 7=team 1 home field advantage

Changeable Home Field Settings
- The settings will be determined prior to every game. I will PM the appropriate person before making the tourney game.
- Game 1 Bill makes his settings
- Map: Classic
- Play Order: Sequential
- Bonus Cards: No Cards
- Fortifications: Adjacent
- Fog of War: Yes
- Game 3 Bill makes his settings
- Map: Classic
- Play Order: Freestyle
- Bonus Cards: Escalating
- Fortifications: Unlimited
- Fog of War: No
- Fred signed up and declares Classic, and 8 Thoughts as his home map during sign up.
- Round 1 Fred plays Classic, Classic, and Classic as his home field maps.
- Bill signs up with the maps Feudal War and North America.
- Round 1 Bill plays Feudal War then North America then Feudal War, and finally North America as his home field maps.
- Bill and Fred play in the first round. Bill beats the living tar out of Fred. Now, for Round 2 Bill has the following maps to choose from:
- Classic
- 8 Thoughts
- Feudal War
- North America.
- There will be two reserve pools.
- Normal Reserve Pool: This pool functions normally. Any person wishing to join the tournament after it has begun will go into this pool. They will have two home field maps. If a reserve from the normal pool is brought in, that person will only have access to the maps they designated at sign up. They do not have access to the replaced player’s maps.
- In-Tournament Reserve Pool: If a person drops out, for whatever reason, the players that were defeated by him/her will be asked if they want to replace their fallen tormentor. There is a catch. A person who has been beaten, but comes back as a reserve can only use the two original starting maps of the replaced player until they win a series with another player.
- In both cases, the reserve will take on the seeding of the player they are replacing.
- The last man standing wins the tourney. Good luck and may the Fraggles be with you.

Tournament Seeding
- A participant’s seeding will be based on each player’s CC points at the moment I close the tourney and check everyone’s profile. There are two brackets of 18 players. Basically, when the tourney is full, and I am free from work to read through 32 profiles while collecting a paycheck. (Man I love my job).
Winning Home Field Advantage Maps
- During the first round, only the 2 maps designated at sign up will be considered home field. Each player can use as many or as few of their 2 home field maps during the round as they choose.
Example part I:
Example part II:
Winning a map you already have/Adding a new map (The conquerAce Acquisition)
If you win a map from an opponent that you already own, you may choose a different map from the CC list to take it's place.
