Literature Prize
EVERYBODY WITH 1 OPEN SLOT IS WELCOME

Have you imagined writing a book? Looking for a publisher? Getting it published? Getting famous and known by everybody? I can’t give you all that but if you imagine hard enough then we can travel through all of it with this tournament. The winner of it will be the owner of his/her published book and called CC Literature Laureate.

This tournament will consist of 4 steps/rounds, each of them have different settings. We’ll start with 36 players, after every step there’s a bunch of drop-outs. All games are Casual, Standard, Sequential.

Step 1: Writing a book
Only way to get a book published, is to write it. A lot try it but not all succeed. There’s a party you can’t miss, you go on a date, you brake a hand... things disturb you, you lose your concentration and won’t finish the book – first eliminated person in each game drops out.

Games: six 6-player games put together according to rank
Map: CCU (perfect place for mind work, I’d say)
Settings: Escalating, Unlimited, FoW

Step 2: Finding a publisher
You’ve finished writing the book – wonderful. Now the tough part begins, you have to find a publisher who finds your book good enough to get it out to public. Not everybody find the right person - first eliminated person in each game drops out.

Games: five 6-player games put together according to rank
Map: 8 Thoughts (you have to think how to find a publisher)
Settings: Flat Rate, Unlimited, No FoW

Step 3: Publishing a book
You have the contract and preparations have started for the book to get finally published but... there are unseen things that stop the process and your dream for your own book will come true – only 5 books will get published: winner of each game.

Games: five 5-player games put together according to rank
Map: Madness (publishing is madness...)
Settings: No Cards, Unlimited, No FoW

Step 4: Selling the book
Congratulations, you’ve survived all the hard steps and now you are ready for your final task. It’s time to set up advertisements, start talking about your book and hope that you can make the best impression and sell your book the most. For that, a 5 game series will be played and whoever sells the most books (gets the most points) is the winner of this tournament.

Games: one 5-games series of 5 people games
Maps and settings: each finalist picks settings for one game
Scoring: 1st place - 5 points, 2nd place - 4 points, 3rd - 3 points, 4th - 2, 5th - 1.
