The Mod Wars Tournament
*Brought to you by Generation One: The Clan.
This tournament will give you, the average community member, the opportunity to represent a member of Team CC in a tournament. Several of the members WILL be participating in this tournament to defend their own names and reputations. *NOTE: WINNING THIS DOES NOT GIVE YOU A SPOT ON TEAM CC.
*Premium Membership is Required for this Tournament*
There are a total of 114 spots available.
Round 1
All games will be Sequential and Singles, but all other settings have been chosen by the Team CC member. These will cover nearly every choice, so there’s a setting for everyone. These are the settings with the number of participants listed in parentheses in the format of
AndyDufresne - 4 player, Asia, standard, flat rate, unlimited, foggy (need 4 players)
lackattack – 5 player, Asia, standard, flat rate, chained, foggy (need 5 players)
Twill – 3 player, Classic, standard, flat rate, adjacent, sunny (need 6 players)

Gameplay and Scoring:
Every division will include a series of games with scoring dependent upon placements/eliminations.
Standard 3+ Players Games:
*Players will play the same number of games as there are players (4 players will play 4 games, etc.).
*For the 3 player games, the 6 participants will be randomly assigned to 2 groups.
*Points are awarded based on finish with 1 point for last, 2 points for next-to-last, etc. with 2 bonus points for winning.
*The top 2 finishers advance.
Standard 2 Player Games:
*Players will play 3 games against each player.
*Points will be 0 for a loss, 1 for a loss after 10 rounds, 2 for a win, and 3 for a win in Round 5 or earlier.
*Top 2 finishers advance.
Terminator Games
*Players will play the same number of games as there are players.
*Points will be 1 for each elimination and 3 bonus for the winner.
*Top 2 finishers advance.
Round 2
Players who advance from Round 1 will be divided based on their character’s role on Conquer Club. Divisions will be as follows:
Admins: AndyDufresne, lackattack, Twill
Cartos: Coleman, gimil, Oaktown
Tournament Directors: Optimus Prime, Steelhorse
Hunters: moz976, king achilles, sully800
Chat Officers: clapper011, Fireside Poet, rebelman, James Vazquez, wicked
Moderation/Shop: jennifermarie, WidowMakers, wacicha, MarVal
All the players from a given division will play in the same games together, except for the Chat Officers, which will be divided into two 5-player sub-divisions. The same settings (except for the number of players) from Round 1 will be used, as well as the same scoring methods. The top finisher from each division (including 2 from the Chat Officers) will advance to the finals.
Finals
The finals will be a series of 7 games. Each game will be:
7 player, Classic, standard, escalating, adjacent, sunny
Scoring will be the same as previous rounds. The highest finisher will be declared the Champion as well as receive 12 months of premium membership courtesy of lackattack.

*To sign up, all I need is your top 2 choices for which moderator you would like to represent. (This is in case sign-ups go faster than I can update my list.)
*Team CC members have until 02.12.08 to join their reserved spots.
*Disrespectful game chat and alliances (aside from ganging against the obvious leader) are not tolerated and could result in a point deduction.
*Based on the wide variety of games and scenarios, I reserve the right to find the best tiebreaker for each individual scenario.
