Prime's Doubles Season
Brought to you by Generation One: The Clan
**PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO JOIN THIS TOURNAMENT**
Welcome to Prime's Doubles Season! This will be the last tournament announced and run by Optimus Prime for the next few months. So, if you have always wanted in on one of my tournaments, get in now, it will be a little while before the next one. I have some other projects and priorities that need to be taken care of at the moment.
Set-Up:
The tournament will feature 24 doubles teams playing in 4 divisions that will be determined at the beginning of the tournament by each team's combined CC score. The divisions will be: Prime Division, Gold Division, Silver Division, and Bronze Division. Each division will have a total of 6 teams. All games will be: Sequential/Flat Rate/Unlimited/No Fog
Gameplay:
Each team will play the other five teams in their division twice (once on their home map, once on their opponents home map). The win-loss record of each team will be used to determine the standings.
The tournament will be played in three "Cycles" followed by a Final Round. Each "Cycle" will include 10 total games for each team played in small groups of two or three at a time. At the end of each "Cycle" the top two teams from the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Divisions will move up one division while the bottom two teams from the Prime, Gold, and Silver Divisions will move down one division. This is to provide some mixture to the Divisions and allow teams to play most of the other teams in the tournament at some point.
At the beginning of each "Cycle" the records for each team will be reset, but their overall record for the entire tournament will be kept on a separate set of "Overall Standings" which will determine who qualifies for the finals. Both sets of standings will be displayed at all times.
The top 6 teams after all three "Cycles" will play in the Final Round
Final Round:
The final round will be played exactly like the previous three rounds. Only this time, the team with the best record wins. The winning team will receive a yet to be determined prize from the Conquer Club Store.
Tie-Breakers:
1. Head to Head Games
2. Home Record
3. Away Record
4. Record from Cycle 3 (if applicable)
5. Record from Cycle 2 (if applicable)
6. Record from Cycle 1 (if applicable)
7. Sudden Death Game on Randomly Chosen Map
