Yanks vs. Rebs - 2008
Doubles Tournament. Open to all Premium Members.
Map - American Civil War
Doubles; Sequential; Flat-rate; No fog of war; Unlimited Fortifications; Single elimination.
Please have a Partner, Team Name and Team Contact (denoted with a "*") before joining. -Also, state if you want to be placed in the North or South bracket. (If one bracket fills up faster, you may be placed in the other by default)
Reserves will be called on the as-needed basis.
When all brackets are full, each Team Contact will receive a PM with the game number and password.
The Team Contact is responsible for relaying information to his/her partner.
The first round will consist of 32 teams, each playing against 3 other teams. By Round 2 only 8 teams will remain...
-After the first round all games will be with 2 teams only.
Go 4-0 and gain the bragging rights of having won the very first Yanks vs. Rebs Tournament!
The Winners will also receive custom avatars and banners commemorating your mastery of this new map!
Entries must be in the following format:
Elijah S, Suzy1* (team members, with Suzy1 as designated Team Contact)
Rebel Yell! (team name)
South (preferrered placement)
-As a courtesy to all others, please be sure your availability permits you and your partner to take your regular turns. Deadbeating ruins it for everyone!
-Try to keep Team Names to under 22 digits. (Civil War Era names encouraged!)
-Respectful game chat expected!
Game #'s and passwords will not be PM'd until all brackets are full.
Any changes in team-lineup will need to be posted in this thread.
Will you get over the first hurtle by defeating 3 other teams and then go on to ultimate Victory? -You never know if you don't try! So grab a partner and give it a shot!
