3 games of 4. First one eliminated in each game is out. There will be 9 people left.
3 games of 3. First eliminated in each game is out. There will be 6 people left.
2 games of 3. First eliminated in each game is out. There will be 4 people left.
2 games of 2. The winner goes on.
1 game of 2. Winner is declared that game.

What's the tournament "body"? What kind of games (how many players in each game)? How many games have to be played at once and overall? How is the winner decided?

Standard with 16 implies that it is a 1 vs 1 tournament.

It might also mean 4 groups of 4 player. There are various possibilities to run a tourney with 16 players

One more question - are you making the games according to rank or randomly?

I was thinking about making it randomly, but if you post your rank when you say your in, I might make it based on rank. I edited the first post to include that as well.
