Iām expecting it to take quite some time to recruit fully for this one, so Iāve decided to start this thread now in the hopes that it is ready to go as some of the other tournaments Iām running conclude. Iāve been really looking forward to this tournament, which will be a mix of standard and terminator games and be āwater-basedāā¦ all games will be played on maps depicting islands or the High Seas map.
So, without further adieu, I present to you āInitech VI: Island Adventure.ā All pertinent details follow. Just reply to this thread if you wish to join. And feel free to ask any questions. Good luck to all that choose to join!
OVERVIEW
32-player, 3-round, 52-game, 10-map tournament. All players guaranteed five games. Max games for an individual player is 20.

The finals will consist of 1 group of six players each. The group will play 10 gamesā5 on standard on the maps from the first round and 5 terminator on the maps from the semifinals. The player with the most points is champion.
SEEDINGS
Once I have 32 entrants, I will divide everyone into four pots by points/rank. One person from each pot will randomly go into each first round group.
TIEBREAKERS
The first tiebreaker in the first round will be the fewer number of rounds it took in the games each player won. The second tiebreaker will be a game on the High Seas map under tournament settings.
The first tiebreaker in the semifinals will be the number of map wins in that round. The second tiebreaker will be the better performance in the first round (including, if necessary, the tiebreaker from the first round). The third tiebreaker will be a game on the High Seas map under tournament settings.
The first tiebreaker in the finals will be the number of map wins in that round. The second tiebreaker will be the number of standard map wins in that round. The third tiebreaker will be the number of points in the semifinals. The fourth tiebreaker will be the better performance in the first round (including, if necessary, the tiebreaker from the first round).
