Credit Crunch Tournament (quads / trips)
I'm going to host a tournament based on the current financial disaster sweeping the globe.
Teams:
You need to create a team of 4 bankers. One player to be the CEO. Your team will need to invent a name for your Financial Company.
The CEO will decide which banker doesn't go to the Annual Shareholders meeting at Madness, Iceland and China.
Game info will only be pm'd to CEO's to organise their teams. CEO's to post game results in this thread
Team Requirements:
All players to be premium and the total points of the four players to be a minimum of 7000 points at time of signing up
Game settings (All Games):
No spoils (We haven't got much of anything left to add to the pot)
Adjacent forts (We are closing all global trade to become protectionist)
Foggy (We don't know what's going on)
Game arrangements:
All teams play each map once. teams will be placed in a hat and pulled out at random (you may therefore play the same team again)
I will need the total number of teams to be divisible by 2 before we start
Scoring:
Games scored as win under 13 rounds - Winning firm gets a $3 billion bail out
Games still on going after 13 rounds - Each firm gets a $1 billion bail out each (play game until finished to get your game points as per usual - outcome of wining team overall doesn't affect the score of the tournament)
If you lose before round 13 - You get no bail out
To clarify - if the game enters round 13, it's a tie.
Why round 13? - I want to see how quickly you can amass your fortune. Time waits for no man. Your team of whizz kids should be able to corner the market and turn a profit in record times.
Maps:
Madness Trips (Get a house [at any cost] - it's going to make you rich)
USA Quads (Sub prime market goes wild)
8 Thoughts Quads (Clever bankers package up toxic debt into unfathomable credit default swaps)
China Trips (Buy loads of pointless crap, stick it on the credit card and this cheap tat makes you think that inflation is low)
NYC Quads (Wall Street in bullish mood)
Middle East Quads (Oil based trade imbalances increase, but who cares - we're riding the crest of a wave)
Scotland Quads (the Royal Bank of Scotland becomes the 4th largest bank in the world in a matter of 10 years)
Soviet Union Quads (Oil prices go through the roof)
NYC Quads (Wall Street enters a bear market, share prices are falling through the floor) I know this is a repeat map - but wall street has been a key player in all of this
Europa Quads (The Euro bond market disappears up its own arse)
US Senate Quads (Bail out passed)
British Isles Quads (England and Ireland in some serious shit)
Iceland Trips (Need I say more)
Extreme Global Warming Quads (Global warming???? - The world is sinking under trillions and trillions of debt)
Supermax: Prison Riot! Quads (The Bankers have been jailed - kill them for the good of the common man)
Winner:
The winning team that has amassed the largest bail out figure.
In the case of a tie
Age of Merchants Quads (Can you get the world economy to trade again?) Played to the end - no round limit.
In the unlikely case of a three way tie, this map will be played as a 3 way doubles game.
Winners: prismsaber, Agonzos, dragon dor, Foxglove
