Welcome to GameZZone, special place of amaZZony's favorite computer games!
It's been for awhile since GameZZone: HOMM ended and I feel that right now it is perfect time to introduce and honor another great game. I have to disappoint many of you and say right now that all games are Freestyle because SC is a real-time strategy game. I wasn't sure how to make it as a tournament but after awhile things started dropping into their right place. I've decided that everybody's playing race will be Terran because I like them the most
StarCraft is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The first game of the StarCraft series, it was released for Microsoft Windows on 31 March 1998. With its storyline adapted and expanded through a series of novels, StarCraft has three expansion packs available and a sequel in development. The game has been praised for pioneering the use of unique factions in real-time strategy gameplay and for a "compelling" story. (Wikipedia)
This tournament is mostly based on Starcraft 1 (+ my imagination) and will consist of 3 parts (rounds). All games are Freestyle, Escalating, Standard and Casual 8-player Sunny games. Maps will be picked when taking under considerations the nature of the game and aim of the round.
Part 1: Building Your Base!
First round is all about gathering strength, setting up your base and constructing buildings and preparing for the second round. Nobody will drop out this round but your performance is very important because without strong economy you can't build an army.
- Settings
- For 4 weeks, you will get 5 games per week
- From each Space game, you will gain Crystals and Solar System game, you will gain Vespene Gas for building
- When all games have finished, everybody will send me what they wish to build for their gained resources
- You can use all your Crystals/Gas but you don't have to. You can leave 20% from your overall Resources to go to next part, rest of it will get lost
Part 2: Training Your Army!
Now it's time to put your buildings in use and start training an army. For that, you also need Crystal and Vespene Gas. All buildings are available but point of this round is to get a strong army so you wouldn't drop out. Only 8 players with strongest armies will advance to final part. Army strength is measured by hitpoints.
- Settings
- You'll be playing 5 games at once.
- From each game, you will earn certain amount of Crystals&Gas
- When set of games end, then everybody must decide what to do with their resources
- You can use all your Crystals/Gas but you don't have to. You can leave 20% from your overall Resources to go to next set, rest of it will get lost
- Building/training takes time one set (i.e. if you put things training/building then they will not be ready before next set is finished). Therefore, if you run out of room in Supply Depots then you can't train more Troops.
- One War Building (Barrack, Factory, Starport) can train maximum 5 Units per set
Part 3: Final Battle!
8 strongest have reached here but only one player can come out as the winner. Winner is the player who has strongest army by the end of part 3. Army strength is measured by hitpoints.
- Settings
- Everybody will pick their home map
- You'll be playing 6 games at once, all on one map
- From each game, you will earn certain amount of Crystals&Gas

- Building/training takes time one set (i.e. if you put things training/building then they will not be ready before next set is finished). Therefore, if you run out of room in Supply Depots then you can't train more Troops.

- Notes
- I'm your Goddess and what I say, goes in this tournament. If I feel that something needs changing then I have the right to do if it's fair to everybody and is in the benefit of the tournament.
- Signing up to the tournament counts only when posted to this thread.
- Foe List is ignored. If you wish to play in my tournament then you have to play with anybody who stands in your way.
- If you wish to drop out from the tournament then be polite - let me know about it. Don’t just deadbeat.
- If you need more time to joining games then let me know. I’m sure we can work out something.
- I know that my explaining skills aren't top-notch so if there's something confusing about the tournament then please use this thread so others would also see the answer.
- Games that go longer than 25 rounds, will not count in the tournament (read: they will not be replaced/replayed, groups that go over the time limit will just play less games and therefore gain less points in that map)
