WINNER: Alabama (_big_easy_)
The BCS stinks, so this tournament is College Football Done Right.
This 1 vs. 1 tournament is open to freemium and premium players, however failure to join your map within 72 hours will result in a forfeit for that quarter of play. I will be sending out new map settings every other day to keep each round of the playoffs moving.
We’ll take the top-16 teams when the final BCS rankings are announced this weekend and put them into a bracket seeded 1 through 16. The top-rated CC player (at the time of signup) will be assigned to the No. 1 BCS team…likewise through the No. 16 CC player getting the No. 16 BCS team.
Of course if there is a team you just cannot represent let me know and I can juggle things slightly.
Each matchup will be played in a four-quarter format with a special scoring system (see below) to determine a winner. Each map is a new quarter. If the score is tied after regulation then an overtime map will be played. NOTE: This is not a 2-2 split in maps…it is for a tie in the final score.
Winners advance to the next round and so on until we crown a true national champion…the same way they do in Division III, Division II and I-AA…c’mon Barack I know we can get a playoff system for the big boys!!!
Due to the scoring system, I’m limiting this tournament to the following geographical maps. All games will be played with the following settings: Sequential, flat rate spoils, chained forts and sunny.
Here is the list and when they are slotted to be played in each round.
• In parenthesis is the territory battle for each map...hold this by the end of round 5 and you get 3 points (FG).
First round
1st Q — USA (Missouri)
2nd Q — Phillipines
3rd Q — South America
4th Q — Great Lakes

4th Q — Arctic

Championship game
