My first tournament is coming to a close and I wanted to start another along the same lines.
In this tournament you will be playing one game at a time so premium membership is not required.
This tournament will be played using the Terminator Game Type with a twist. Before the game starts you will be assigned a target. Only you and the tournament organizer will know who your target is. Unlike my previous tournament you will not advance based on killing your target. You will be awarded points for you kills.
Kill your target - 5 pts
Kill any other player - 1 pt
The 20 participants will be divided into four divisions based on their scores at the time that I receive tournament privileges. This will help eliminate the strategy of killing off higher ranked players for points.
There will be a preliminary round which will have five matches. The divisions will produce two participants, that have the highest scores, to move on and the remaining two spots will be awarded to the next highest point totals that haven't already advanced.
In the semi finals the two groups will produce two participants, that have the highest scores, to move on and the final spot will be awarded to the next highest point total that hasn't already advanced.
In the finals the player who scored the most wins the tournament.
There will be a 35 round cap and all players left at this round will receive 1 pt.
Ties will be determined first by target kills, if there is still a tie then we go to kill on home maps and if there is still a tie we will play a best of three to determine who moves on. Tie breakers will be on a random map using random.org. The home maps of the players involved will not be included in the list. The tie breaker matches will be on one map.
All games will be played using the following settings:
Terminator, Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained, Sunny, Casual
If you would like to play simply provide your home map.
Thanks for looking and hope to see you in the games.
