Rainman, you're down as a reserve. I'll set groups now and start this tournament. :D

Groups have been set and the partner-finding PM has been sent out. This tournament should be starting in the very near future.

Hey Tac,

Can you clear up what is actually going on in Round 2? Your message said 9 games, the descriptor says 12, and we only played 3 in the first round.

If we have to play each of 3 other teams 3 times, can we at least make it best of 3? The difference would be that we only start 2 games at a time between each set of teams. Then, if a third is needed, we could play it.

In all honesty, I thought playing each team once was sufficient. That's my 2 cents.

Btw--PatXCore is my second round buddy.

Best,
Laci

The original wording is all wrong, and I haven't updated it yet. It is 9 games maximum, with a starting 2 and a tie-breaker should it be necessary.

And I noticed in the matches I looked at that it was rather easy to take advantage of a conveniently good drop. More games should even out great drops in favor of higher skill. That's my excuse for more than 3 games and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Pat and Laci conclude their Round 2 games taking 2 of 3 from yeti_c and mrbenn.

On another note, it worked out that we needed all 3 games (I think).

Thanks,
L

Hey Tack,

2 of our games just disappeared after not filling for 2 weeks. Might want to check to see if the freemies have the open slots so we can finish this thing.

Best,
Laci

Technically three games remain unplayed, but regardless of the result of the remaining games in progress, laci_mae and fwblb will be our champions, so I might as well declare it now. Congratulations to our winners.
