NNK's...in Search of the Pink Panther Introductions Hi every1, I’m Kato, your tournament host. Having only been introduced to CC earlier this year, I have becoming immersed in it, playing lots of games, including tournaments & joining a select few user-groups as well as the Mythology Clan. I thought it time that I stepped up to take control of my 1st tourney & as my tag name suggests, we are going in search of the elusive Pink Panther!
Your invitation to search for the Pink Panther I cordially invited the first 48 ConquerClub jewel thieves, cat burglars & PI's, in a hunt for the most elusive jewel of them all - the Pink Panther. It will begin with 2 sunny rounds of terminator play, covering the World(2.1) & Land&Sea respectively, eliminating those who don’t bring their ‘A’ game on the day, or luck out, which can happen. After which we will have 24 players, who begin 3 rounds in the hunt for the Pink Panther begin, the remaining players who manage to progress in each of the rounds, will be invited to a specific map location to look for clues as to the Pink Panther's whereabouts, whilst fighting off & eliminating the opposition in foggy conditions. The last round of the hunt will reveal the jewels location. The final 3 will battle it out in my House of Madness where they can get their hands on the priceless jewel...the Pink Panther
Structure & Progression The tournament will be held over 5 grouped rounds of elimination play until we reach the Final showdown, consisting of 3 players. 40 players will start the tournament in round1, (making 5 groups of 8 players). 4 more rounds of play will eventually lead us to a final consisting of 3 players searching for the elusive Pink Panther. In round 1 the 1st player eliminated from each group will exit the tournament. In round 2, first two players eliminated from each group will exit the tournament, the next elimination in each group will go into a playoff Assassin game, where the Assassinated player will also exit the tournament, leaving the remaining players to safely progress into the next round. This elimination process will continue throughout the rounds until we have 3 players battling it out in the final round, in one game, ..in search of the elusive Pink Panther.
Assignment of Groups Once tourney is full & stated reserves places have been taken - groups for round1 only will be assigned according to cc rankings, so that group 1 will have the top ranking players, group 2 following on from that down to group 6 which will have the least ranked players. I have proposed strategy for round1 only, so that those who progress from round1 have shown to the best of their rank & either have the chance to be selected against those who have proved themselves on cc to be consistently better (for those who are working their way up or back up the rankings) or against those who wish to upset the apple cart (for those who hold high rank & wish to maintain it). From round 2 onwards, the groups & order of play will be randomised using http://www.random.org/
