Grand World Marathon 2009 [Winner: General K]

The tournament will require 96 players and will end with a final of the last 4!
Premiums only please as multiple games will be played at once. No New Recruits or players with less than 95% attendance please.
This tournament has a slow elimination rate to minimise the luck factor and show who the truly skilled players are.
The tournament will consist of 6 group stages, a Quarter-Final group stage, a Semi-Final group stage, and then a Grand Final on the World 2.1 map.
Each stage will have a theme as follows:
Stage 1: BeNeLux Theme
Stage 2: British Theme
Stage 3: Ancient Theme
Stage 4: Egyptian Theme
Stage 5: City Theme
Stage 6: European Theme
Stage 7 (QF): Asian Theme
Stage 8 (SF): North American Theme
Grand Final: World 2.1
All games will be Standard, Sequential, Escalating, Unlimited, Sunny.
Each Stage will consist of between 3 and 6 games (which will all be played at the same time).
Points will be awarded as follows:
6 Player Games:
1st: 8 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 3 points
4th: 2 points
5th: 1 point
6th: 0 points
4 Player Games:
1st: 8 points
2nd: 4 points
3rd: 2 points
4th: 0 points
At the end of each of Stages 1 to 6, the top 3 players in their group will automatically go through to the next round. The other players will play against each other to go through as a 2nd chance. This will be explained in more detail below.
All players who go through to the next round will have their points carried over.
