This Jeopardy will be played on the regular Jeopardy board with six categories of 5 maps each. That means you’ll be playing 30 games in the first round alone. You will be split by rank into 9 groups of 3. Maps replace clues in this tourney version of Jeopardy.
Jeopardy! Round
You will be playing 30 games for this round, one for each map on the board. There will be 1 Daily Double hidden somewhere on the board. First clue would be chosen by random draw (as there is no returning champion). When you win a game, you get the amount of money picked for the clue. Then you choose which clue goes next. Be warned! Some clues, if you pick, and lose that game, you lose a specified amount of money. (No more than $1000). There are at least 5 of each money amount ($200, $400, $600, $800, $1000)
Double Jeopardy! Round
You will still be playing 30 games one for each map on the board. As the name states, everything will be doubled (number of Daily Doubles, amount of money that could be lost, and money amount for clues). The only thing that won’t be doubled is amount of clues. There will be 2 Daily Double hidden somewhere on the board. First clue would be chosen by random draw (as there is no returning champion). When you win a game, you get the amount of money picked for the clue. Then you choose which clue goes next. Be warned! Some clues, if you pick, and lose that game, you lose a specified amount of money. (No more than $2000) There are at least 4 of each money amount ($400, $800, $1200, $1600, $2000)
Final Jeopardy
There will be a final clue at the end of both rounds. If you have less than $1, you are automatically disqualified for this round, and are eliminated. If nobody has $1, a random amount of money will be given, and then you will play a game, where you wager an amount of money. If there is still a tie, I will think of a decent tie-breaker. Winner advances to next round.
Daily Double
A Daily Double is a clue, where the person who picks it gets to wager any amount of money (min. is 5, max. is however amount of money you have, if you have less than 5, Daily Double is disqualified, and not in play anymore). If the person wins the Daily Double, they would win the amount they wagered. If somebody else wins the Daily Double, they would win half of what was wagered (rounded to nearest 10,) and person who chose the Daily Double would lose all the money they wagered.
Advancement
Winning the Jeopardy game in general, would advance you to the next round.
Notes
*Joining requires commitment to this tourney. Be prepared to be staying in this tourney for several months – or even half a year, depending on how fast the games are completed.
*If I feel that a rule needs to be changed to further run the tourney smoother, I will do so without any discussion.
*IL are ignored in my tourney. If somebody is on your IL, remove them for the time being or be replaced.
*You have 5 days to join the game before you are replaced.
