Countries will be on a first come first get basis. Please when signing up included the country you would like. Since all the maps for the countries are already laid out may want to pick a map you like vs country
. Also Qualifier round will be played on the Classic map so if you do not make it past the Qualifier then you will not get to play your countries map.Since the World Basketball Championships just finished a little while ago I decided to make a tourney following it.
Will be looking for 24 players to play 1v1 games throughout this tourney broken up into 4 Groups of 6 players
First step is the Qualifier Round - 16 players will move to Round 1 of the tourney. Qualifier will be a round robin in your group. All games in the Qualifier will be played on the Classic Map. Top 2 in each group will move on (so 8 players) then the next top 8 players with the highest point total in the Qualifier will move on. Each win will be worth 2 points and just for playing is worth 1. Max points in Qualifier is 10. In the event of a tie one another game will be played to see who moves on if uneven amount of players are in a tie one person will move on based on the least amount of rounds played in his or her wins.
Qualifier - 5 Round Robin games all on Classic Map in your group.
Round 1 - Finals will be best of 3. 1 game on your counties map, 1 on you opponents map and 1 on the Classic map.
All game settings will be No Spoils and Chained. Any game played on Classic Map is sunny and all the other games will be FOG
24 Countries in 4 Groups will be featured in this tourney with maps for each country listed below:
Reserve Policy: If there are any players that do not join their game during Qualifier, they will be replaced by a reserve after 48 hours of time has passed. If a player drops out during Round 1 they will be replaced by the next highest Qualifier. If round 2 +greater, that player forfeits, and no reserve will be replaced. It will count as a victory for the opponent.
