This is a Tournament Players Association (TPA) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.
This tournament will be totally random, every setting on every game will be randomly determined by random.org so you may have a quad no spoils on Germany while another player in the same round is playing a best of 5 1v1 series on Caribbean and yet another has a 5 player assassin game on Battle for Iraq! You don't know what you're going to get until the wheel spins.
Each of the potential settings and maps will be put into Random.org to see what the settings for that game are. Here are the things we'll be randomly selecting
We have randomly selected how long sign ups will take place as well and they will be open for 12 days which will put us on August 30. Sometime on August 30 we will declare the tournament full and move it over to ongoing.
Winners of each game advance. Its luck of the draw but you have to win to advance In the event a round limit is reached all players still alive (and for the sake of teams, if a team is alive, all players on that team will be deemed to be alive at that point) will be resorted to play another match with those players who are left. Settings will again be randomized.
I'll play (probably to the detriment of my points).

Absolutely I'm IN.
Can you explain the elimination process - Does only the winner go through each round regardless of whether it's 1v1 or 8-man assassin or a team game?
Cheers,
sonic

Steve, yes, winners advance so if you draw an 8 player assassin only 1 advances, if you draw quads 4 will advance and if you draw 1v1 50% will advance.
Also, in the event a game hits a round limit the players to that point not yet eliminated (in the case of team play all players on any team not eliminated are considered not eliminated) will go through the process to play a new tiebreaker game.
