Ms. Manners [Completed, Winner: babagonosh]

Since my other tournament - Natural Born Killers - encourages vicious behavior, I figured I would host another that rewards fair and high-quality play. Each round has a slightly different setup, but in each case the people eliminated from the tournament are chosen by the other players, so make friends!

All players may join, but be warned you will be judged by the others.

Freemiums are welcome. You will only be playing one game at a time.

In the rounds that are team games, all players will vote for the person from the losing team in their game who they wish eliminated. All votes are secret and must be PMed to me within 24 hours of the end of the game. You must vote for a player who played in your game and the members of the winning team are exempt from elimination, so don't waste your vote. The player from each game who receives the most votes will be eliminated. In the case of any tie, the player on the winning team who made the final kill in the game will make the tie-breaking decision.

In the rounds that are individual games, the winner of each game will get to decide who to eliminate.

Players sign up individually and all teams are selected randomly, so while it may be tempting to eliminate the better players first, you may want them on your team later.

Besides the specifications for each round listed below, all games are: Automatic, Sequential, Chained, No Fog. Team games will be played on Fractured America and are No Spoils, individual games will be played on Middle East and are Escalating.

Round 1: 16 players, 2 Quad games
Round 2: 14 players, 2 7-player games
Round 3: 12 players, 2 Triples games
Round 4: 10 players, 2 5-player games
Round 5: 8 players, 2 Doubles games
Round 6: 6 players, 1 Triples game
Round 7: 5 players, 1 5-player game
Round 8: 4 players, 1 Doubles game Losing team is completely eliminated.
Round 9: 2 players, 1 1v1, No Spoils

The rules for voting are akin to those for alliances. You may discuss your voting in the game chat, but please no private discussion and please no use of players' walls. It's an honor thing.

Also, alliances of any sort are banned in the individual games. You must win the privilege of eliminating a player on your own merit.

You will have 48 hours to join all games. I will be taking a couple reserves in case people don't so up for Round 1, but if people suddenly drop in the middle it will really screw with the tournament, so please only sign up if you know you're going to be around for a while. Thanks!

Seems more like Survivor to me ;-)

(And I've always been tempted to create a survivor map ;-)

Note to all players:

I have slightly changed the settings for this tournament. Instead of the single player games taking place on a Random map as before, I have chosen to make the map a constant in order to avoid maps that produce overly long games, maps on which luck of the drop plays a large role, or maps that I simply do not like. The map I picked for the singles matches is Middle East. Not a newer map like Fractured America, but one which should give a good chance for skill and diplomacy to shine through and is not likely to stall.

Obviously if this is not to your taste and have already entered let me know and you shall be dropped no hard feelings.

That's ok by me, and as fun as random can be it's probably the right move for this tournament to go with something constant.
