SCOREBOARD ON BOTTOM OF PAGE 3
The 21st version of Initech marks a new incarnation that I haven't attempted before... a single table. All pertinent details are below. As always, this Initech is flat/chained/foggy. And this one is a singles event with mixed disciplines (assassin/terminator/standard). I give you... Initech XXI: Polar Wars!
OVERVIEW
1-round, 126-game, 6-map, 30-player tournament. All players will play 18 games. Games will vary between 3-player, 5-player and 6-player games.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES
All games will be Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy
1/3 of games each player plays will be 5-player standard
1/3 of games each player plays will be 6-player terminator
1/3 of games each player plays will be 3-player assassin
MAPS
The following six maps will be used: Arctic Circle, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Nordic Countries, Soviet Union
POINT SYSTEM
Throughout the entire tournament, the following point system will be utilized:
Each Standard map win will be worth 15 points.
Each Terminator map win will be worth 5 points, with each elimination (including the final one) being worth 2 points.
Each Assassin map win will be worth 10 points.
FORMAT
There will be only one round. Each player will play 18 games. Each player will play the six maps three times--once as a 5-player standard, once as a 6-player terminator, once as a 3-player assassin. I will draw the games so that the players don't play the same players over and over again.
The maximum amount of points available to any one player is 240 points. There are (if I did my math correctly) 1,590 points available in the tournament overall.
The leader at the top of the table when the games conclude will be tournament champion.
TIEBREAKER
In the event of a tie for first place, the first tiebreaker will be the number of points taken from common games (meaning, the games where the tied players played each other).
The second tiebreaker will be the number of standard map wins.
The third tiebreaker will be a head-to-head match on the Arctic Circle map--tournament settings, but no spoils.
