-There are 51 doubles teams representing the 51 countries playing in the Euro 2012 qualifying competition.
-All games are Sequential
-Teams can choose their home settings (map, cards, fortifying, fog/no fog, automatic/manual). All maps except Europa are allowed. This map will be used for play-off games if teams are equal at the end of a round, so it can’t be used as home map to prevent teams having an advantage in play-off games. Teams can't change their home settings any more after they started their first home game.
This tournament has 7 stages. In each stage (except the Wild Card games) all teams within a group will play all other teams twice, once on each of the teams home settings.
round 1
-6 groups of 6 teams + 3 groups of 5 teams
-group winners and best runner-up qualify for round 3
-other runners-up qualify for round 2
-to determine the best runner-up, the results of the runners-up versus the 6th placed team in their group are not taken into account. Because group G only has 4 teams left after Wales was taken out of the tournament, the points of the runner-up of group G will be multiplied by 4/3, to have a fair comparison with the other runners-up.

-losers qualify for the Wild Card games
Wild Card games
-2 games on Random Map, Escalating, Chained, No Fog, Automatic to determine who will play in round 3 for the Euro 2012 host countries Poland and Ukraine
-winners qualify for round 3. They will play their remaining home games in this tournament on the same settings as their Wild Card game, except when that was played on the Europa map. In that case I will select another map randomly

-4 groups of 4 teams
-in each group there will be either 2 or 3 group winners from round 1
-the 2 winners of the Wild Card games will not be in the same group
-winners and runners-up qualify for the quarterfinals

For each won game a team gets 1 point. In case 2 or more teams have the same number of points at the completion of a round, the head-to-head results determine the order. If that gives no conclusion play-off games will be played to determine who qualifies for the next round. These play-off games will be played on Europa, Escalating, Chained, No Fog, Automatic. When in a series of play-off games between more then 2 teams, teams won the same number of games the head-to-head results determine the order, followed by the number of rounds in which the teams won their game(s), followed by the number of armies the teams have left in their won game(s).
I will first set-up the games for matchday 1 and when they are all started I will set-up the games for matchday 2 etc. You don't have to be Premium, but you have to keep 2 slots for this tournament available.
After matchday 1 each team can select a new player (when 1 of the players doesn't show up for a game or withdraws) one time. If a team doesn’t show up in time for their first game they will be replaced by a reserve team. If a team doesn’t show up in time for any later game, they will be kicked out of the tournament. All games they already played in the round they are kicked out will be declared unvalid. Each team has 6 days to join a game. Exception to this rule is for Non-Premium players who have already 2 or more active games in this tournament. They can join their next game as soon as they have a slot open again.
