So I wanted to do a tourney with a theme, and this is what I came up with. This tourney will use all be played on maps of the US, both regional and countrywide. Each map will have its own group, and all of the groups will be named after presidents (hence the title/theme). There will also be 44 players because there have been 44 presidents (ok, now it's getting a little cheesy, oh well).
I dont really care if your freemium, but u will be playing 3 games at a time. If you dont sign up for these games in 48 hrs., you will forfeit.
The settings are 1v1, auto, sequential, no spoils, chained, sunny.
If you dont sign up for a specific group, I will place you in one myself.
Round Robin:
There will be 4 person groups. Each person will play everyone else in their group 3 times, for a total of 9 games. These games will be sent out 3 at a time. At the end of the 9 games, the player with the most wins in the group advances, also the 5 players with the most wins who did not already advance, will advance. Ties will be broken by head to head record within groups, or a play-in game on 13 colonies out of groups.
Playoffs:
It will be a 16 man bracket with possible play-in tiebreakers. Play-ins will be 1 game, winner advances. The first rd. will be a best of 3 series on the 13 Colonies map, the second rd. will be a best of 3 series on the Am. Civil War map. The semis will be a best of 5 series on the USA map, and the finals will be a best of 7 series, one game on each of the 6 USA region maps, then a final game on the USA map if necessary. The semifinals and finals games will be sent out in groups of no bigger than 3 games if any freemium players make it that far.
I will be posting updates of win-loss records after each group of games.
