after many hard and randomly chosen battles gallantpellham and linksniper stand as the winners!
well done!
Ever since my first tournament "this isn't my map" light ive been waiting for a good time to create another.. and now that time has finally come..
sort of the same concept only this time its dubs.. the randomness will be a bit more controlled this time since now each team-member will name the map they would like to play (preferably you should discuss this with your team-mate) and then i run it through random.org's list randomizer with the addition of one "random" and whatever comes out on top is the map played in that game..
So in listform;
The Concept;
- All players entering will submit the map of their choice (Settings will in the light version be, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Foggy for all games).
- There will be 16 slots open (32 players) and 3 rounds per match. Best out of 3 goes on to the next stage. (Freemium are welcome but must save 3(!) slots open for the tournament since im lazy and want to keep the speed up, if you fail to have a slot open when the invite comes you automatically lose that match, hard but fair).
- The tricky part is that every match gets a 1/5 chance of being any of the entering players maps (makes 4/5) and 1/5 of being a random map.
- Winner gets a medal and the right to gloat in thread (this is ok to do after each win even if not finals )
A bit of tips and further explanation of the concept; A team may either enter 2 maps they like (one per person) OR each person in that team could choose the same map making the chance of it being that map 2/5 rather than 1/5 BUT(!) make your choice wisely since you cannot change this once you have entered the tournament.
(Unless you send a VERY polite PM to me BEFORE the first game has started pleading for a change and I say; "aw, well.. ok just this once" but then you are stuck with that..
I think this is clear enough but last time i still got PM's saying someone didn't get to play their map so i will also show in this example.
Team A
Jozef_F - Draknor Level 1
Joachim_von_Ribbentrop - WWII Poland
Team B
Karl_R - Fractured America
ABBA-fan_62 - Waterloo
Random element - Random
Game1a - Draknor
Game1b - Waterloo
Game1c - Random
So here Joachim and Karl_R didnt get their maps but they had an equal shot.. (in theory it could be 3 games on any of these maps according to what the generator tells me).
I think that is as clear as it get.. Now join and enjoy!
