[Winner: bkwill] Initech XIV: Continents
Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2009 5:12 pm
Lots of Initechs winding down at the same time (Initech I has even finally finished!) so I'm going to fire up a couple singles Initech tournaments. The first one will be Initech XIV: Continents. Like all Initechs, this edition is chained, foggy, flat rate and sequential. This edition will be all standard games and use automatic deploy. Further details below. Post any questions you might have.
OVERVIEW
2-round, 36-game, 6-map, 25-player tournament. All players guaranteed six games. Max games for an individual player is 12.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES
All games will be Standard, Sequential, Automatic, Flat Rate, Chained, Foggy.
MAPS
The same 6 maps will be used in both rounds: North America, South America, Europa, Africa, Asia, Oceania
ROUNDS
The first round will consist of five groups of five players each. All 6 maps are played once each. The player with the most wins advances to the finals.
The final round will consist of one group of five players. All 6 maps will be repeated. The player with the most wins is tournament champion.
SEEDINGS
After there are 25 entrants, players will be grouped into 5 different pots by points/rank. One player from each pot will go in each first round group.
TIEBREAKERS
In the first round, the tiebreaker utilized will be the fewest number of rounds it took to achieve a player's wins. If still tied, the second tiebreaker will be a playoff match on Doodle Earth, with tournament settings but no spoils.
In the final round, the first tiebreaker utilized will be the number of map wins in the first round. The second tiebreaker will be the fewest number of rounds it took to achieve a player's wins in the final round. If still tied, the third tiebreaker will be a playoff match on Doodle Earth, with tournament settings but no spoils.
