Laidbaq missed two consecutive invites, so you win this game by default and will advance to the next round.

UPDATE: Just heard from Laidbaq, so I recreated that game.

CCU is proud to announce that 2 of our alumni are currently running for the office of US Senate. Good luck to both aznph8playa and TheForgivenOne on excelling at life. May the best candidate win!

Feel free to vote in the (unofficial) poll above.

Hey, you know as well as I do that we here in Canada have a Senate, too. The question is, should we?

Yes. that makes TheForgivenOne our first Retiree.

I've been a bit busy and haven't had time for an update yet, but should happen very soon. Then I'll post the information for starting poker games.

As you're new senator, i will be giving away a free prize to one lucky person every month. It's a box of FRESH AIR! That's right! FRESH AIR!!! And we all know i can't give this stuff away for free everyday. The box of Fresh Air comes from Breathe Free, Fresh Air for all ETERNITY!!!!

Congratulations to TheForgivenOne - who was recently elected to the US Senate. Senator One, who hails from Canada, laughed at our petty Constitution and won in a landslide, thanks largely to his promise of "Free Fresh Air".

Here in the USofA, we don't pay our elected officials very well, but thankfully our mega-corporations do! Senator One receives a $20K bonus for his victory, bringing his net worth up to $100K.

Now fellow Alumni, it is up to you to put a dent in TheForgivenOne's formidable wealth. If the idea of facing a senator in a game of Poker intimidates you, another alumni - drunkmonkey - is another recent retiree, with a handy $70K in the bank.

In order to challenge either of these gentelemen to a game of Poker, you must:

  • Have at least $20K in your bank account (10 for betting, 10 for living)*
  • PM me with the subject line "Poker: TheForgivenOne" and/or "Poker: drunkmonkey". In the body, list your current wealth and level (Marriage, Residence, etc)
  • You can only request one game per Retiree per level**.

When I create the next batch of games, I will send a Poker Club invite to you and the retiree. You will have only one chance to join your game. If you miss the invite, you will need to submit another PM and wait til the next batch to try again.

Any questions?

Image
* Retiree-Retiree challenges will only need $10K in the bank
** For example, if you begin and finish a Poker game while you are currently Honeymooning in the Caribbean, you must wait until that game finishes before requesting another Poker game with the same Retiree.

In other news, several of our former alumni have had a rougher path through life and found themselves behind bars.

The Game of Life: Welcome to "pound-me-in-the-@$$" prison

Frankly, you maggots disgust me. Couldn't even hold jobs as gardeners or maids. Thought you could get through life sucking on the teats of hard-working Americans?

Well, its true, you can. Their taxes will pay for your food and housing for the next 7-9 years of your miserable existence. But this is no club med resort. If you thought gardening was hard, making license plates will be like... well... okay, its not that bad, but its worse than it sounds. And the food here sucks. Except on Taco Tuesdays.

During your stay at SuperMax Prison, I hope that each of you comes to understand the most valuable lesson in life: Crime Does NOT Pay.

Usually. For most of you, crime will not pay anything more than a pack of smokes. But one of you will make more than I do in 2 years of work. That lucky bastard will probably buy his way out of here and torture my family.

But until that day, your @$$ is MINE! (and your bunkmates).

Sincerely,
SuperMax Prison Warden

Every poker game with a Retiree is worth $10K.
Every poker game with the (as yet to be named) Crime Boss will be worth $20K.

One of the convicts headed to Prison has escaped!

I've randomly selected a player on Welfare to commit a crime and head to prison with the rest.
