HA's 1v1 Random Weekly Speed here are the specifications:



For this tourney you will have to play at least 5 random 1v1 speed games in a seven day period. Your must win 50% of your games to advance. The minimum is 5 games but there is no maximum. Games will be made and available all week. The time frame of a week is a guideline due to the holidays coming up and making sure everyone has a legitimate chance to play at least five games. As we near the end and have fewer players weeks may last a bit longer.

A General Achievement Medal will be given to the player that wins the most games--this is to entice a lot of play.




Tourney Starts Sunday-registration going on through the whole first week--but you must get your five games completed by next Sunday the 21st.

Anyone with less than 98% taken may be left our of the tourney without a decent excuse that they will play the games without missing turns.

Since I have 28 sign ups in one day I will start this tourney this Sunday rather than waiting an entire week. I really only anticipated 20 players. I am very glad the interest is there.

Basic Rules Breakdown:

1. Weeks Begin Sunday night and end Sunday afternoon so that I can have a few hours to update and score the tournament. I will give a pm warning with hours listed giving you a last chance to play your games.

2. You must play 5 games during a week (Sunday Night through Sunday Afternoon of the following week.)

3. You must win 50% to advance-check Q&A

4. You may be pm'd from other players asking to play

5. If more games need to be created pm me and I will make more--I will usually have 10-20 available at all times.

6. The minimum is 5 games but there is no maximum

7. You can play at any time

8. You must only play players in the tourney--Do not give the password out to players that are not in this tourney--you will receive a pm with the passcode when the week begins.

9. To ensure players get to play at least five games when the player count gets low near the end of the tourney-if a player has been unable to entice others to play I will set up one game against each remaining player to get that player above 5 games. For example: Players A-B-C all have 5-6-7 games played receptively and 50% win rates. Player D only was able to get in 2 games and no one will play him/her since they are already advancing. One game will be played against A/D, B/D, C/D--this would occur at the end of the week or as soon as it is known no one will play him/her. If this causes A, B, or C to go under 50% they will be out of the tourney. I believe this is the only fair way to allow every player to get a chance at playing 50%. This is really not an issue in the early rounds, but might be one in the late rounds. If however there is a player above the 50% line that can play the one or two players not reaching the 5 game limit--I will just have that player play them so that everyone that has achieved 50% will advance--but for this to happen they have to be above 50% by enough games where they cannot get knocked out themselves. As the week comes near an end I will clarify each situation to make it fair.

10. If you run into a time issue where you cannot find anyone to play--you need to pm me halfway through the week-no later than Thursday. I may set up some 24 games to at least get you to the five game limit. I cannot guarantee more than this. With so many players and a lot of time you should be able to knock out at least five games. If you wait until Saturday to start playing you may just not get the limit of games in. If I have not received a pm from you by Thursday--that you tried to get games and could not get them --you will be out of luck and have to find someone to play by Sunday morning.

11. Official time frame is Sunday to Sunday--but if I find when monitoring games we need more time out of fairness I will add a few days--I will always keep everyone in tune with any changes.

Q: What if I play five games and win 3 of the 5--do I have to play anymore games?

A: NO


Q: What if I play 5 and lost all five games?

A: To advance you need to win 50% so keep playing until you reach a 50% win/50% loss ratio if you want to advance.


Q: If I join a game and log off forgetting that I joined and someone gets in the game and I end up dead beating what happens?

A: You lose and the player joining wins--I hope everyone will be responsible enough not to let this happen.


Q: If I joined some games and no one is joining what can I do?

A: You may pm or wall players in this tourney and ask them if they want to play, but they are under no obligation to play. You then need to remember to drop the games. You have a whole week to play five speed games--I anticipate there will be players playing much more than five speed games.


Q: Holiday schedule--what if I am away for a while?

A: During Thanksgiving and Christmas I may need to extend the week and make it ten days or 14 days. If it is 10-the next week will have 11 days. I will keep you updated.


Q: What if I win 4 games and lose zero games?

A: You would be eliminated from the tourney for not playing the minimum of five games in the one week time frame.
