Welcome to everyoneās favorite tournament college hoops 2009-10ā¦this is our third season and we have quite a few returning players, but also plenty of teams available for newcomers. We also now will have two rookie commissioners for the league.
Okay so as you may have heard Dowian2 and I will be co-commissioning this league this year as Flex takes a well deserved off year. I know I have appreciated his effort and that is part of the reason I didnāt want to see his tournament die. We will be keeping the rules listed below that were set down by Flex at the beginning of the tournament. I created this new page for the tournament because I we need the standings and other posts at the front of the tournament rather than at some random point.
So the two of us are still getting are feet under us with the tournament so donāt expect a new game set for a couple more days. I will though start my part of it and begin updating the standings below. I will try and provide an update every two days on the standings. After that we will try and pick up the tournament as quickly as possible we will send everyone a message when the next patch is up. Until then everyone finish their first game and check out the results in discussions and my updated standings. Have fun! As stated before the rules are listed in Flex's quote.

Welcome to the favorite tournament that I hostā¦college hoops 2009-10ā¦this is our third season and we have quite a few returning players, but also plenty of teams available for newcomers.
Format: 1 vs. 1 play
Open sign-ups: This tournament is open to all players, although I ask freebies to keep up with our two game per week schedule.
Regular season: 28-30 games, following the real NCAA season as closely as possible (but not entirely). Games are single-map showdowns on one playerās home court.
Champion: At the end of the regular season the tournament committee will select the 64-team field for the March Madness championship tournament. Automatic bids are awarded to winners of each conference tournament, so you can go 3-25 in the regular season and still have a shot at the title.
The tournament will be under the three-map scoring formula similar to what we used last yearā¦just a way to get realistic scores and forces an underdog to win two-of-three to pull off a major upset. (That formula will be posted before the season starts)
Each section of the bracket will have its own neutral court. Map #1 and 3 will be played on that neutral map (flat, chained, no fog), while Map #2 will be played on the higher seedās settings.
We also hold a consolation NIT tournament with the next-best 32 teamsā¦this is just for fun.
SIGN-UPS
I have 15 leagues lists (6 power, 5 mid-majors and 4 small conferences) for a total of 171 schools. If we fill all the slotsā¦fantasticā¦if not, Iāll adjust some of the smaller leagues to make things fit.
Sign-ups will stay open through Tuesday, Nov. 10ā¦after that you can join our reserve list (in a tourney of this size, you will probably get called in at some point).
Most teams are available to anyone, but youāll notice a column down the left side that has red boxesā¦the diamonds require new coaches ranked Captain or above, while the circles require a rank of Sarge or above.
HOME COURT SETTINGS
I require that we play sequential turns and auto deploy/start, but the rest is up to youā¦map, spoils, forts and fog?. If youāve already signed up, but donāt see settings listed please get them to me during our two-week sign-up period.
Thanks and letās have fun with itā¦.flex
POST #2 IS OUR OFFICIAL TEAM LIST...if you can't see the image you may need to tweak some of your settings...can anyone post the fix to this problem. I've heard a few people can't see them. It is critical to be able to see those images because that is what I use to post standings, brackets, updates, etc. I've heard that some browsers seem to mess it up....I've heard some switch to FireFox and then they can view the images.
