Beta Wars II - [Winner: DBandit70]
Posted: Fri Oct 09, 2009 11:30 amIt's Beta Time again! We currently have 7 beta maps: Austerlitz, First Nations of North America, Germany 2, Gilgamesh, Route 66, Vancouver 2, and Poison Rome (I'm substituting Poison Rome for Peloponnesian War because we used PW in the last one and PR is newer).
Round 1
There will be 6 (randomly chosen) groups of 7, each group will play on all 7 beta maps. Players who win on at least one map will advance to round 2. All other players will be eliminated.
Round 2
Players play again on all the maps that they won against the other winners of the map. Players who win on at least one map will advance to round 3.
Round 3
The players in this round now “own” at least one beta map. Players can modify the settings to the map(s) that they own. The remaining games are 1v1. The players will play 3 games on the map that he owns with his settings and 3 games on the map his opponent owns with his opponent’s settings. The player that wins 2 out of 3 on a map will then own the map. If the player or his opponent has more than one map, then the player with multiple maps can choose which map to play with. If he loses that map, he will still have the other(s). If the opponent steals a map from the owner, he can change the settings for the next round except they must be sequential.
Round 4, 5, 6…
Same as round 3, 6 1v1games (3 on each map) for each player and his opponent until one player owns them all and wins the tournament! When there is an odd number, 1 player will receive a bye.
The settings for the first 2 rounds are sequential, escalating, chained, sunny.
All players must be premium. Players have 48 hours to join their games or a reserve will replace them.
